Summary: The Cat The Dog And The Cow
The Cat the Dog and the Cow
Once upon a time, there were three animals searching for their savior. They were a mixed bunch. A cow named Betty, a German Shepard named Kota, and lastly an orange cat named Huxley. Kota and Huxley were both located at a local animal shelter. Betty was located at a local slaughterhouse. The animal shelter was in very run-down condition. The floors were always soggy and muddy from collecting together in the water. The animals were kenneled in chained fences, therefore being held contained in their soaking wet kennels. Which, if kept like this too long could lead to the animals accumulating infections and diseases. Floating all around in the water were dead flies and cockroaches.

She had become so thin you could count every bone in her body. She is kept in a warehouse that is 99.9% of the time kept pitch black. She is joined by hundreds and hundreds of other caged cows that surround her. On January 24th a notice was put on Huxley and Kotas kennels. It was a euthanization notice for the upcoming weekend. Betty also received a notice on her cage that said “To be slaughtered the weekend of the 27th. That Friday came, and by some coincidence all three of the animals struck some luck. A boy walked into the shelter that day. The boy was just short of being a man. His hair was all messed up, his clothes were baggy, and he reeked of this unidentifiable stench. He came in looking for a guard dog and a cat for his girlfriend. At first the boy walked up to the kennel that held Kota. He had knowledge that German Shepard’s made great guard dogs. After finding Kota he knew that’s who he would take home. Now for his girlfriend, he went into the cat section. They had such a variety. The only color she wanted was orange. That was her dream color for a cat. There was only one orange cat in that shelter that day, and that was Huxley. The boy had no idea what a dream this was to Kota and Huxley. To be saved from death row. Back at the farm some other farm owners came in to look at the variety of cows. They were looking for cows that would make the good criteria of their farm. As you may guess, Betty was one of the lucky ones chosen. That night …show more content…
They walked inside and couldn’t believe what they saw. Dog and cat bed and bowls, hardwood floors, and a fenced in backyard. This is Huxley and Kotas dream home. They even were served wet food which they haven’t been since they were babies. They were loving their new home and their new people. They finally were able to trust. As for Betty, she still needed a plan. On that same Saturday a strange woman came to the farm. Betty had never seen her before. The women went to the barn where the man had directed her to Betty. The woman began to walk towards Betty with a smile on her face.
“I’m going to take you home now girl!” The women said.
Anything was better than this place, so Betty left with the woman. They pulled up to a huge house with a huge barn. There was an endless field of freshly cut grass and as far as you could see it was filled with cows and other colored animals she had never seen before. The woman walked her out to the field.
“This is your forever home; don’t you ever have to be worried about slaughter again!” Said the Woman.
Betty ran with joy and made many more farm friends. She never worried about being slaughtered again. Huxley, Kota, and Betty all found their forever homes, and will continue to live happily ever

The house was built and one by one houses in that area were replaced with larger nicer houses, much as Kevin had explained to the family moving in. The demands on houses in that area slowly got higher but Kevin and Lena had not fully paid mortgage, so they were unable to sell. Eventually the demand got so high that just one month of being late on their mortgage was enough for the landlord to evict them and suddenly they were out a house. Kevin reflected on this time by saying that the landlord just showed up one morning and said he needed the mortgage now. After Kevin explained that that was impossible, the landlord gave them 30 days to leave. The family, discouraged, then moved to Englewood, where they found affordable houses, but not houses to their liking. Kevin claimed it was a troubled area and a “tough place to grow up”, when asked to elaborate he said “drugs are trouble, violence is trouble.” He walked to his old house as he said this but when he arrived he stopped in his tracks to realise that his his old house had been knocked down and had been replaced with a condo (above). They were blue and red with a fresh new paint job, and small balconies on every floor. There was a backyard…

The old barn was gloomy, but the light of the sun came gleaming in through the cracks of the barn, and made the straw glimmer like little tiny bits of gold. The shingles were in disrepair, however, the structure was sturdy, and the wood that surrounded it was worn with age, but it gave it character. Similarly, hay covered the floor as if it was a shield from danger. Hulga stood in the middle of the barn with her hands on her hips, looking toward the posterior of the barn at the ladder leading up to the loft romanticizing about Pointer and how their passions will ignite. Comparatively, hay covered the floor of the loft which set the prospect of love like a candle lit room. As well as, there being no animals in the barn which gave it a look of…

If these customs were challenged everything seemed to fall apart. Prior to David and Jennifer arriving, Betty Parker was a picture perfect house wife. When things in Pleasantville began to change Betty refused to cave in to the changing society and stuck with her, and her husbands, beliefs. However, not everything remained pleasant. Betty knew that it was terrible to go against the Pleasantville customs, but something inside her was telling her to change. Firstly, Betty was introduced to many new concepts from Jennifer such as sleeping in one bed, intercourse, and how to please herself. As Betty put her newly learnt knowledge to the test she began to see colour and a tree instantaneously burst into flames. The fire symbolized that this was just the start of something big and that there was much change, along with conflicts, to come. Spectators observed the fire in awe and no one really knew what was going on. This was the first time that something imperfect had happened in the town. Secondly, Betty forgot to cook dinner for her husband one night. “Where’s my dinner?”, was a phrase that caused panic in the community. Betty’s husband looked everywhere for his wife, but Betty was no where to be seen. The imagine of the perfect wife was shattered in Mr. Parker’s eyes when his wife left the house the next day…

I gasped and quickly took a step back. Then I went back for a second look and saw what looked like slimy, bloody, meat sacks squirming around and meowing. I know…. it sounds disgusting but that’s what animal birthing sacks looks like. I forgot to also mention the meowing sacks also had hundreds of bugs crawling all over them! Pincher bugs, spiders, beetles, centipedes, ants, cockroaches, etc….. If it had more than 6 legs it was there. They were all feasting on these poor helpless newborn kittens. I passed the flashlight to Betty and told her to take a look and once she did, she had the same expression of disgust and panic as I did. I knew we had to react fast in order to save them and there was not time to move all that clutter blocking our direct access to them. The only way we were going to reach and save these kittens was if we stuck our arm into a small dark opening directly above them and grab them one at a…

This was the first time I saw The Witch and the Cow, however, it is the second time I saw Teat Beat of Sex. My reaction to The Witch and the Cow was that it didn’t feel like a story. My expectations for animations are stories which I have broaden my views after Signe explained that she only saw the same type of films in Hollywood. This is like how I’m only exposed to a certain type of animation. Even though there were repetition of actions like the cow poop and chasing cows, I was waiting for a more relevant action for the story. It was very funny and creative because its a tiny witch in a pile of cow’s poop. There were many unexpected reactions like when the witch killed the cow and I was expecting blood, but instead there were millions of…
