Summary Of Sex Pay Gap In Professional Tennis
The authors examine the sex pay gap in professional tennis, using data from professional tennis players ranked in the top 100 during the 2009 season. The data used helps them better identify the extent to which a pay gap between men and women exists. They find that the median earnings both in 2009 and over a player’s career are substantially higher for men than women in the sample.
