The longing, the loss, the linger. Grace and Sam found a cure for Sam to stay human but now it is Grace’s turn to be worried about that chill of the spring air. Sam is still getting used to the whole being-human-even-in-the-winter thing☺(hyphenated modifier). He is longing to have Beck back so he does not have to deal with the new wolves that Beck bequeathed ☺ (vocabulary) to him before he turned into a wolf for the last time. Cole is one of the new wolves who has many secrets, and he does not seem to be willing to tell them to anyone especially not Sam. Through all of this, Grace is dealing with a new sickness that causes a lingering thought in them all that it might be a lot more than just a common cold. I would give the book Linger by Maggie Stiefvater an A+ because it has a very suspenseful storyline, the characters have enticing characteristics, and the love story between Grace and Sam is very interesting. The storyline of the book is very up and down and keeps you wanting to read more. It starts out making you think everything is perfect and back to normal for the main characters Grace and Sam, then it to totally gets turned upside down with the entrance of the new wolf Cole: “I felt a weird prickle go
Grace fell in love with Sam, and at the same Same fell in love with Grace. Sam is very emotional and Grace is normally the one who comforts but she also has a soft side: “ I was used to me being the practical one and Sam being the emotional one” (Stiefvater 147). Grace is the strong hearted one in the relationship. She hold herself together for Sam especially when he is going through a hard time. Sam and Grace are so in love they would do anything to be together, but Grace’s parents are beginning to make their relationship very difficult. They are the modern day Romeo and Juliet being kept apart by their parents when all they want is to be together
