The book that I did my essay on is called The kidnapping Of Christina Lattimore by an amazing author, Joan Lowery Nixon. Christina was just one of those teens with dreams and tons of friends and was popular at school, until she had a turn around in her family’s life. Who would do such a thing, taking a young kid? Not even thinking about there future and what her future could be. This book is really good because it’s suspenseful and the vocabulary is great. The whole book it amazing.…

She wrote this story to inform female white northerners of the terrible situations female slaves were forced to endure in hopes to gain their support in the abolishment…

The act of theft is predominantly considered worldwide to be one of the most corrupt acts one can commit, it is even written in the Bible as the eighth commandment that one “shall not steal”. So it is particularly interesting when the act of theft is not used in a narrative not to show how iniquitous the villain is but rather to make a point about the protagonist of the story. Such is the case for Markus Zusak’s The Book Thief. In the book thief Zusak uses the motif of thievery to as an act of empowerment for Liesel. It is representative of how Lisel is trying to take control back of her life in a time where she feels she has lost all control of the world around her. The act of stealing books is also significant as this can represent her taking knowledge back from her oppressors who wish to destroy it. The act of stealing is never in the novel portrayed as a crime of any sort, rather the act of theft flourishes into an act of liberation for Liesel.…

Nothing was really wrong with her, per say, but was anything really right? Probably not. Anyway, one day in this once upon a time this girl was walking along the road, minding her own business. I should probably mention now that in the world this girl lived, no one could hear. Don’t get too excited, she couldn’t either. Like I said, she wasn’t anything special.
