In Dylan Thomas', Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night, the wise, good, wild, and grave men share the common ground of fighting to stay alive and not giving in to the peaceful nature of death. In my opinion, the title explains to the reader about having a valiant battle against death as the title states, Do not go gentle into that good night. He is explaining to the reader that he wants someone to fight for their life and not to succumb to death. This made me do some preliminary research and I learned that Dylan Thomas had a multitude of health issues, some speculated that it could have been diabetes, pneumonia, a brain hemorrhage, etcetera that caused him to slip into a coma and die. This bit of information showed me that Thomas did not give

    "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night", by Dylan Thomas is a plea from a dying man 's son to steel his reserve and fight against imminent death. Thomas begins by presenting the example of wise men that fight their impending death valiantly, despite knowing that defeat is inevitable. Good men also "rage against the dying of the light" (Thomas 9); a suggestion that Thomas hopes that his father will take to heart.
