From my observations, centre B’s practice is also in line with the other principle, ‘authentic learning through quality interactions’. When children have the opportunities to work with each other, it is another way of learning too. This can be supported by MOE Nurturing Early Learners (2012), which stated that quality interactions with objects and the people around them, such as the teachers and peers, allow children to develop their social skills, for example, bonding their friendships between each other. They also get to understand how others feel and how to control their own emotions along the way as they are exposed to different emotions.     Care and education cannot be thought of as separate entities in dealing with young children (Eager to learn: Educating Our Preschoolers, 2000). For a child’s development to satisfactory, the care should provide quality cognitive stimulation, rich language environments, and the facilitation of social, emotional, and motor development. These qualities are sufficient for a child’s development and the earlier a child develops these characteristic the better it will be for a child’s learning process.
