Debate: Keep The Death Penalty

Criminals should be scared of death. Extreme criminals such as Jeffrey Dahmer
Is sadly one of the reasons we have such a high stake of consequences in some states of our own country of the United States. Such as the death penalty. Lets just say what if for a second. Jeffrey Dahmer or also known as the Milwaukee cannibal kidnapped your beloved child which he has a background of doing. And sexually violated your young child and also dismembered them and then participated in what we call necrophilia. And then to top it off kept several skeletal bones of the young boys skeleton. But actually execution only indeed happens when all of their appeals have been exhausted and they have spent there last 24 hours.
False accusations happened in every system there ever has been in the history of this earth but such as how in recent studies show 10,000 people are falsely accused each year of serious crimes. Saying that as an example for a fact to push the death penalty would be frowned upon due to every system in the book having flaws.

People on death row are evil. For example Jesse Anderson was a murder he stabbed in wife thirty seven times. Also Jeffrey Dahmer was a horrible man. He raped, murdered and dismembered 17 boys often keeping parts of their body such as the skeleton. To make it worse he even involved necrophilia and cannibalism in his crimes. This man has no care for life and caused fear and sadness in the state of Wisconsin.
So furthermore what is the value of the lives of these infamous killers after what they have done to other citizens? They have no respect for

Jeffrey Dahmer, the notorious serial killer and necrophile, didn’t receive the death penalty for his crimes. He was sentenced in Wisconsin which abolished capital punishment in 1853 so he was given 12 life sentences instead. Initially he was kept in solitary confinement as authorities feared for his safety among other prisoners. A year into his sentence he was assigned a two hour work block cleaning toilets each day which brought him into contact with other prisoners.…

But, what she found out over time was that her pain will never be fully healed, whether her daughters killer is executed, or tortured and then executed. By torturing the killer, it will cause her to have more self satisfaction, but overall, straight execution will be safer for society and keep her more at ease, than if he was still alive, and just sentenced to life in prison. In addition, Florida therapist Lula Redmond states her personal opinion on execution as a whole. She states that: “More often than not, families of murder victims do not experience the relief they expected to feel at the execution. ‘Talking a life doesn't fill that void, but it’s generally not until after the execution [that the families] realize this.…

Why should we do them the favor of ending their misery? That is not fair. If they really want to end their misery, let them do it themselves. It’s free, and we can’t blame ourselves for the wrong-doing. More realistically, there are a handful of people on death row that are there for the wrong reasons. Either they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or they are taking the heat for someone else. This leads me to my next point.…

Capital punishment has been around for decades and continues to alter as awareness of its negative connotations rise. Even in the late 1800’s we saw people trying to adjust the act in an attempt to make it more humane, but the reality is that there is no “humane” way of ending another’s life.…

People are accused everyday for something they didn’t do. People are put in jail for something another person has done. Someone’s life may be put to death over a fib. People are hurt for hearing information that they thought was true, but it wasn’t. There are three reasons why people are wrongly accused and that would be; false information, media, and being too scared.…

Throughout history there have been thousands of “false” trials. These trials were based around false accusations. The trials most notable for accusations without the clearest of evidence was the Salem witch trials, hundreds were killed for being suspicious and never indicating that they were actual witches. Everyone who died in Salem and everyone who is serving or served an undeserved sentence have or at least had families, career opportunities, a career, in short a life. All of these get ripped away from people even after the person accusing them has admitted to being a liar after the innocent has served time or, a portion of his/her sentence. The acts of a false charge is not as well recognized of a felony, and should be treated much more severely.…

The death penalty has been an ongoing debate on whether it should be allowed or whether it violates our constitutional right. While most developed Western nations have stopped executing the United States continues to execute offenders (Zimring 2004). From 1977 through 2008 1,136 people have been executed, which consisted of people who committed murder (Procon 2010). Those who are in favor of the death penalty believe it is an important tool to help deter crime and it cost less than life imprisonment (Procon 2010). They believe retribution helps console the grieving family and it also ensures that the offender will never be able to commit another heinous crime (Procon 2010). According to Grant (2004) some people believe that some offenders should face the death penalty because of vengeance and retribution for violent crimes. During the…

No one should have the right to say when someone else’s life is to end. Much like the laws there are lots of things that you can do, but just because you can do these things does not mean that it is necessary to do them. As innocence projects across the country can prove to, the criminal justice system does not always get it right – even for the most monstrous crimes. According to the Death Penalty Information Center, there have been 142 exemptions of death row inmates since 1973. Unfortunately, the system is not flawless, and sometimes…

In the justice system, there comes a time or two when a criminal is sentenced to the death penalty. It takes a huge amount of evidence to convict and sentence a criminal to this kind of capital punishment. Not only does the criminal spend time awaiting lethal injection when it is their time to serve out their sentence, but the criminal also has to wait on average twelve years for this sentence (Death Penalty Information Center 2013). During this time (up to twelve years) the criminal is confined to a single cell by themselves for an average of twenty-three hours a day (Death Penalty Information Center 2013). Only having one hour a day with people is considered extreme isolation for the criminals on death row. The extreme isolation the criminals withstand on death row can easily cause mental illness. Death row criminals do not have the same rights as other criminals and are not able to receive education training or be able to work (Death Penalty Information Center 2013). Death row criminals cannot do anything besides wait, which is an average of twelve years. This is a major problem with this type of capital punishment. Criminals who have been sentenced to the death penalty should receive their punishment within a year of conviction because it would reduce the criminals’ time in isolation, reduce overpopulation issues within prisons, and it brings closure to the victims’ families in a more reasonable time.…
