Successful Student

What is needed in order to be a successful student? How can I better myself to go further in life? There are so many ways I can further myself to succeed as a student. Yes, it does come with a lot of obstacles along the way. However, just having support, motivation, and goals for myself can definitely allow me to achieve the lifestyle of a successful student. Having people to support me is probably one of the biggest things that keep me thriving to wanting to succeed as a student. Sometimes, I can feel low about myself and just feel like I’m all alone. It really helps having family there to uplift me when I feel hopeless. I have honestly thought about giving up multiple times, but my family is always there to back me up. For example, after high school I didn’t even want to go to college. I doubted myself and thought school just wasn’t for me. As Carlos had stated from The Student Fear Factor, “It was like I thought I wouldn’t make it, like I wasn’t going to be able to make it. And I made it hard and it wasn’t that hard.” That’s exactly how I felt. However my parents, especially my mom, pushed me to go. I was told that I am smarter than that. They believed in me and knew I could succeed. Having support from your family is probably one of the most important things. Every time I have a problem with school whether it’s me needing help with things I don’t understand, moral support, or even financial support, my family is always there to help me and always will be. I remember the time I was ready to drop a class because I couldn’t afford books for it. My mom could not let money stop me from furthering my education, so she gave me money to buy my books. Knowing I have support from my family is such a comforting feeling, and I know I always have them to keep me from giving up in this long journey to success. What is a successful student if they aren’t even motivated? Motivation is another key to being successful as a

Unfortunately many people still stubbornly think success is mostly not due to merit, instead believe these elements such as luck, wealth, family background, or even races. It might've been cause I am not smart enough to understand or I am just a freshman who's about to start a new semester. I was completely lost. Never had to follow this kind of procedure in high school, that is why. Never even bothered to ask any one about it due to shyness. So in a very curious behavior my first day of college began. I knew what English, health, music and math classes were about but not a clue about speech. So, there I go to my speech class where I see a bunch of strangers, smiling at each other. I enter the class and search a suitable seat for myself to be seated where I can feel comfortable and nobody can barely see me. I was in the back row. Well, I've always been the shy type of girl who is not very outgoing and friendly always separating myself from the crowd.…
