Structured Observation In Children

This chapter focused on how to make a plan for a structured observation and explain the reasons why structured observation is needed for a child. Doing structured observation will help with a child’s development because, you are observing the child’s activities and how they react to different things.
Setting up the observation is important; this will help you to set up a specific situation as a test or a game to see how the child will react to the situation or how they will figure out the problem. Children will not show us everything they are capable of doing, sometimes as teachers, observers and caregivers have to work at bringing their talents out of them. A structured observation is used for testing hypothesis. This is useful because,
