Strategic Management is the analysis of the company’s current strategy and position to find out its overall efficiency and capabilities that are helpful for creating more values for the organization. Here, Tesco PLC has superior competitive advantages in case of its internal strength and external opportunities. Here, the company has a lot of supporting factors though the recent competitors like Wall Mart and Carrefour are the biggest threats for the organization. Tesco is increasing its business in different Asian countries that has developed its opportunities for being the diversified internationally. Tesco PLC also has superior competitive advantages in case of its internal strength and external opportunities. Here, the company has a lot of supporting factors though the recent competitors like Wall Mart and Carrefour are the biggest threats for the organization. Tesco is increasing its business in different Asian countries that has developed its opportunities for being the diversified internationally. Value chain analysis of Tesco PLC illustrates that Tesco continues to hold its leadership position within the strongly focused retail segment where Tesco has to focus on both the cost leadership and product differentiation to create more values for the customers. The organization has been able to use the latest information technologies and other strategies to upgrade its business system and chain management to reduce the cost of the organization. So, the core competitive advantages of Tesco are aligned with the business environment that is focusing a positive future outlook for the company.So, Tesco is a leading retail company that has established its position more efficiently in the market creating more relative values and strength compared to the competitors.

Introduction
Here, for this report on Strategic management I have selected Tesco PLC for the analysis through implication of some theories. Here, the recent industry position of the retail and super market will be shown through the Porter’s five forces model. On the other hand through the SWOT analysis, the recent position of the Company will be found considering both internal and external factors. Through The value chain analysis of the company it will be suggested whether Tesco has successfully used its all required inputs to create more values for the organization through both cost leadership and product differentiation. 1. Tesco PLC Overview

Tesco PLC is a multinational grocery retail and supermarket headquartered in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. Tesco is the second largest retail shop in the world after Wall Mart in case of profit and it is the third largest retailer measured by the revenue. They key competitors of the company in the international market are wall mart and Carrefour but there are a lot of competitors in the United Kingdom most of those are the local retailers. The company has been holding more than 35% market share I the United Kingdom market where it is the leading company and operating with proper strategy. On the other hand, Tesco PLC is operating in 12 countries across Asia, Europe and other continents (Tesco, 2013).
