When I was applying for college, I was overwhelmed with stress. One night, while trying to decide where to apply and where to attend, I had an anxiety attack. During those months, I also slept and ate very poorly. This stressed negatively affected my health by hurting my sleep, nutrition, and mental health.
To get through this period of stress I engaged in planning. I created a spreadsheet with all the schools I was considering, including their cost, ranking, size, etc.
Karen is a divorced mother of three children. She was diagnosed with Type I diabetes 18 years ago. Her lifestyle and her illness created a lot of stress. I would suggest that Karen seek social support for instrumental reasons. She should talk to her doctor about hot to better
