Stress among Teenagers

Nowadays, stress has become one of the biggest problems among teenagers. It comes in many ways that could be a challenge to our well-being but sometimes can lead to serious diseases. Stressful work condition, whether caused by individual or situational factors, can lead to health problem and risk injury (Arrington, 2008). Hence, we have to avoid from all the stress sources in order to succeed. In general, stress can be divided into five main of categories: personal stress, social and environmental stress, physiological stress, financial stress and parenting stress.
Firstly, stress can start with own self. Indeed, personal stress comes from events or circumstances in your personal life such examination, interviews, rift with a close friend or partner, etc. (Dr. Anjali Arora, 2012). For example, examination is just around the corner and you don’t have enough preparation to cope with the paper. So, we will any bad decision such as making revision for all night and that will cause stress.
Another type of stress is social and environmental stress. Social and environmental stress- Human beings are social creatures who live in a complex and interactive system; in this case it is referring society. In this system they have to abide by the norms laid down by the society. On the other hand environmental stress is dependent upon the world around you (Dr. Anjali Arora, 2012). For example, if you live in polluted area or in an area where you are allergic to the surroundings that would make you upset. Other area example is like changes in a housemate, addition or loss of a member or a pet in your life leads to both social and environmental stress.
