Strategic Plan and Analysis
Strategic planning within a company is a tool used in companies that help mature areas in total quality management. This type of planning creates a cohesive management system for lower level employees to better adapt in. “Strategic planning determines where an organization is going over the next year or more and how it's going to get there. Typically, the process is organization-wide, or focused on a major function such as a division, department or other major function”(McNamara, 2008). In order to plan effectively one must first make a clear assessment of the plan and have an analysis on the corporations mission statement and objective. The company I work for clearly defines all the attributes of strategic planning and analysis. Strategic group is a company that thrives on the importance of quality and customer satisfaction. This company has been able to expand and maintain huge ventures due to the amount of effort stakeholders’ carry in TQM. Strategic group “is a full service marketing, special events and promotions company that builds brand experiences for consumers through lifestyle, entertainment, fashion and nightlife programs” (Strategic Group, 2008). Because our company is consumer driven Strategic Group always strive to exceed customer expectations so our clientele will view us as a product that will always be replenished. The company makes their best effort to recognize employees as assets. Strategic group have adopted the total quality management philosophy of always aiming at the organization’s continuous improvement with employee empowerment and relationships, offering top quality products and customer satisfaction. Although Strategic group does not have a written procedure that explains the TQM style within the company TQM technique is closely comparable to the Ritz-Carlton quality management program.
