Storm and Ben Harrington parked their motorbikes a block away from the van showing the ADF military insignia and the national flag on the sides.
“Shit! Just look at the size of it. How awesome is that?”
When they first heard about the windowless van parked at the far end of town there was no way they were ever not going to pay a visit. The national recruitment campaign had finally arrived in Coona.
Ben got it into his head here was an opportunity to have the kind of life Coona could never offer him. He was always the first to jump at any chance for adventure. He told Storm and Ethan how he was sick of ripping up the countryside on his motorbike with them, how even playing Call of Duty among the online gaming gang wasn’t exciting any longer.

Young nodded his head and gave them a dazzling grin that displaying his unnaturally whitened teeth. “You two ought to come inside and have a play on the machines. They're good fun.”
Storm smiled back at him. “So what you got in there?”
“You like shooting games? We got plenty.” The recruiters chuckled.
Ben leaned forward. “Do you have any tank simulators?”
“Hell, yeah!”
Ben turned and winked at Storm. “Come on, let's take a look inside.”
Storm looked at the big guy with the dazzling teeth. “What about the Super Hornet sim?”
The recruiter shook his head. “No, we haven't. But we got a very cool Blackhawk icosahedron flight sim. Can even loop the loop! If you're brave enough to try it. Does almost everything you want.”
“Oh, yeah?”
“Sure. Come on in and take a look.”
“I got some training already flying fixed wing.”
Young gave Storm a sharp look. “No kidding. That is interesting.”
