The unthinkable has happen in the world’s history; life has been discovered on another planet. Yes! You heard me correctly new life has been discovered. Remember this day people, December 20th, 2100.
I was given the opportunity to write an article on this extraordinary discovery that I made. I will be able to give anyone who is remotely interesting in this discovery all the hard facts on it.
I discovered planet Neo in the year 2080. In the Year 2080 the condition to support life was not favorable since there wasn’t any form of water presence on the planet, and water is one of the basic contributors for the survival of life. Now 20 years later I discovered a new life form on this planet. This news could be either scary or remarkable for some.
Planet Neo is 200 miles away from earth and 300 miles away further from the sun than the earth. Neo evolved over the past twenty years and conditions became much more favorable to support life. A water system underground was discovered and it is here in this underground system life has been discovered. The condition beneath the surface of Planet Neo proved very favorable for life subjected to some harsh climate change.
The underground water system has similar conditions to a hydrothermal vent on earth. The discovery of hydrothermal vents on earth has presented us with a possible explanation for the origin of life. On Planet Neo the conditions were the new life form was found was similar to the hydrothermal vent conditions on earth.
The life form that was discovered was called Octoplium it looks somewhat like a squid. Octoplium has a very hard diverse outer skeleton on its entire body. It has eight fat tentacles also layered with this skeleton. This creature has all the characteristics of living things.

The seven characteristics of living things are: 1. Movement 2. Reproduction 3. Sensitivity 4. Nutrition 5. Excretion 6. Respiration 7. Growth
Octoplium has each of the above characteristics that I will further explain in depth
Movement- Octoplium was recognized by its movement in the underground water system. Scientists created a camera that was able to withstand harsh temperatures, pressures and atmospheric changes; this camera was able to enter the underground water system, the scientists controls were the camera goes. I remember the first time he saw Octoplium it was between two jagged rocks, I remembered vividly the camera scaring the creature from video footage and Octoplium stimulus was to swim away very quickly and spew out purple slime from pores, on its back.
Sensitivity – Octoplium has very hard outer Skelton that is completely resistance to heat, there are little pore openings in its back that open and close allowing it to moderate its temperature. These pores also let out a purple slime as to protect itself from the environment. This purple slime is not dangerous, sample shows it is a mixture of the same chemical found in a moss like looking substance on the wall of the rocks and seafloor which I called it purplalo because it is purple in color.
Nutrition - Octoplium as I said before spew out a purple slime whose chemical components is similar to that of a moss looking substance found on the stones and seafloor called purplalo. It was concluded that Octoplium feeds on the purplalo from video footage again that gives it nutrition which causes it to respire allowing it to survive in the harsh underground water system.
Excretion – the form in which Octoplium got rid of waste was; it settles in a corner goes into the hard skeleton structure and little bubbles fill with a transparent liquid comes out the pores, I believe that Octoplium excretes build up food from purplalo and it is transparent because it uses the chemicals from the purplalo to spew the colorful purple slime for stimulus and it then excrete the cytoplasm looking bubble.
Reproduction – the bubbles that are seen during the excretion process accounts for reproduction. It is this cytoplasm looking bubbles that carry a form of DNA from the Octoplium allowing it to reproduce. All these data can be accounted for because test and experiments where perform and from these expirements it was concluded that the bubbles is somewhat of a single cell organism, but not all survive due to the harsh conditions. Reproduction process will be able to occur under the same Temperature and pressure in which Octoplium was born and discovered.
Respiration – obviously in order for Octoplium to stay alive it respires, because it feed on the purpalo.
Growth – I have been tracking Octoplium for the past six months and it has grown approximately twelve centimeters longer from the first time it was discovered. So this is evidences that Octoplium grows.
On Earth these seven characteristics is use to tell if something is alive. Octoplium exhibits all characteristics which is so amazing. Charles Darwin if alive today would have been so involved in these findings. Charles Darwin, the British naturalist, came up with the theory of evolution in 1859; he changed our idea of how life on earth developed. Darwin argued that all organisms evolve, or change, very slowly over time. These changes are adaptations that allow a species to survive in its environment. These adaptations happen by chance. If a species doesn't adapt, it may become extinct. He called this process natural selection but it is often called the survival of the fittest.
It can be seen that Octoplium has adapted to the conditions on Planet Neo, and with that adaptation there is room for evolution. If Octoplium could survive on the harsh conditions of Planet Neo, who are we to say that there isn’t any other forms of life on planet Neo. I am on the quest to discover more living entities on Planet Neo thanks to the advances of technology in today’s world. The fabric of the universe is waiting on scientist like me to extract the underlying knowledge.
This discovery has made history in the life of humans; just imagine life forms on other planets! This gives rise to a lot of speculation be it conflict or amazement. Some people are accepting of this discovery, stating this means that there are more avenues to explore the great beyond, others on the other hand are fearful of this discovery.

The Deep Sea World hypothesis, is many simple metabolic reactions emerging near ancient seafloor hot springs, could be a possibility to the beginning of life. In 1977, scientists discovered biological communities living near seafloor deep sea vents. They were far from sunlight, and were living off of chemical soup that would spew from the underwater geysers. This lead scientists such as Jeff Seawald to…

Earth is the only planet in the universe we know supports life and the life indigenous to Earth is the only life we know of in the universe. Although it is possible, and in fact likely when considering the size of the universe, that life exists in forms that we can not at this point conceive of, we are limited in this field by what we know for certain, and that is that all life we've studied is carbon based, evolved in an environment rich in oxygen, nitrogen hydrogen and carbon, and uses water as a solvent to facilitate biochemical reactions. Although alternative biochemistries are entirely possible, and life that is not biochemical but rather electrical or mineral may also be possible, if we open the door to these possibilities this report might never end. For the sake of brevity the information I present here will be based on the assumption that life that life is organic, carbon based, is dependent on some sort of energy source, either tidal, geothermal or solar and requires some sort of solvent, either water, liquid ammonia or liquid hydrocarbons.…

Space voyages from Earth have found regions on other planets that have the possibility of having simple life forms. For example one of Saturn’s moons may contain liquid water below the crust of ice. Water is essential to life as far as we know, so this means life could exist on this moon with suspected water. On the surface of Mars scientists have found what look like streambeds with crisscrossing paths of water. Finding these areas support the theory that life exists beyond Earth. Only simple life can exists beyond earth because most planets do not have the ability to avoid disaster, such as meteors, therefore drastic changes in climate would not support complex life.…

    Why Is 51 Pegasi Exist?

Shortly after it was discovered, the university of California at Berkeley put out this statement, “Marcy and Butler were the ones who last year confirmed the first discovery of a planet outside our solar system, 51 Pegasi. ‘After the discovery of 51 Peg everyone wondered if it was a freak, a one in a million observation,’ Marcy said. ‘The answer is no. Planets aren't rare after all. These new discoveries are important because they spawn a new subfield of astrophysics, the study of planetary systems,’”(Sanders 2). With the observation and discovery of exoplanets, scientists and astronomers will now have the tools and resources to search for more life. While the planets could have been predicted to exist, they were not totally believed until these astronomers actually found them. These discoveries help to further general knowledge about the early universe and how we came to be, as well as, the search for other life. Without seeing the exoplanets, the field of astronomy would have been radically…

One huge leap has already been made in this quest. Scientific research has shown that living organisms can survive in conditions much different than those that are present on Earth. This is confirmed by the existence of so-called extremophiles – organisms that thrive in conditions that are lethal for other forms of life. These conditions may include high pressures, presence of toxins, absence of oxygen, extreme temperatures and acidity. One extremophile species, the Ferroplasma acidiphilum, is a microorganism that can only survive in environments containing such large concentrations of iron that any other life form would expire there. Not only can extremophiles thrive in these conditions, but they cannot survive in what are considered to be normal environments. These organisms alone prove that life can exist in conditions on planets that were previously thought of as too extreme (Silverman, 2009).…
