Stoichiometry: Mole and Final Answer
For those of you who came to the review in class today,

The stoichiometry question from class. I read the answer to the wrong decimal place.

--What is the total mass of oxygen in 0.26mol of Cu2O?

Find the percent of oxygen in Cu2O first. The molar mass of Cu2O is 143, the mass of just the oxygen in it is 16. % Composition of oxygen would be 16/143 times 100 is 11.19%,

To determine the mass of Cu2O in 0.26 mol, multiply by the molar mass of Cu2O. This gives you 37.18g. The mass of oxygen in that would be your 11.19%. 37.18grams times 0.1119 gives you 4.16g, which is your final answer. I believe I read the decimal place off in class. It should be 4.2 grams as the final answer with the correct 2 sig figs

If you were not present today for whatever reason, I hope you used your time wisely and were studying for the final tomorriw. I expect those who were not here to do very well as they had so much more time to look over past and current notes.

**BRING SCIENTIFIC CALCULATORS FOR TOMORROW'S FINAL**

Hello Class,

I hope you are all well and that you are enjoying Julius Caesar. Please start thinking about how you could bring the play to life - after all, you guys are up next !

Meanwhile, enjoy the conclusion to the film. Here are the questions.

1. As you are finishing up with the film, please explain in a paragraph what you thought of the film and how it helped to bring the story of Caesar to life. Discuss a specific character or scene which made the movie stand out. Also, explain whether you enjoyed the film or the text more and why.

2. Explain whether the story of Caesar is still relevant today.

Thanks,

Mr. K

Happy studying and get a good night's sleep!

Ms. Lau
