He has been working in the medical device industry ever since he graduated. He transferred to San Jose State University from a community college. He enjoys solving technical challenges. Mechanical engineering is the application of engineering, physics and material for design analysis and fabrication, and manufacturing of materials devices. In the field of mechanical engineering, it is important to understand the mechanics, kinematics and thermodynamics. Mechanical engineering is divided into subfields; mechanics: production of suspension, linkages and mechanisms; mechatronics: building robots, drones and automation systems; structure: analyzes failures in tests; thermodynamics: manufacturing HVAC and networking consumer products; Design: designing consumer products. I liked every aspect of the presentation, especially the humorous stories. He was very eloquent and gives an in-depth detail explanation to the questions students asked. The visuals and diagrams were very helpful as most of us had no background knowledge with medical devices. In conclusion, I have gained more insight into what it’s like to be a mechanical engineer. I would like to thank Mr. Kele for the speech and Prof. Raji Lukoor for arranging the speaker event for us. I would highly recommend Mr. Kele for future speaker

The first lesson learnt is the importance of durability when constructing a device. Although the preliminary design was functioning, it’s lack of durability meant a completely new device was constructed for the secondary design. The emphasis placed on durability for subsequent iterations resulted in a device that remained structurally sound despite repeated transportations. The second lesson is the importance of effectively integrating separate systems into the final design. The parallel construction of the computer system and the mechanical system allowed the final design to operate as a single unit that was both accurate and efficient. Without this integration, the final design would likely have been unsuccessful.…

Steven Ashley continuous by discussing some of the reasons that why we need mechatronics in our daily life by using different appeals and strategies. What is more, throughout he piece, Ashley uses many strong sources that intensify his credibility call to ethos, as well as build her point of views. Those sources include, “ The basic idea is to apply new controls to extract new levels of performance from a mechanical device,” “Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers and ASME,” and the journal which is published by the University of California Berkeley. By citing these sources supports Ashley’s credibility by showing that he has done her research and has shown audiences facts and trues. In his research paper, he also uses his personal examples from his career teaching and study, in which can show that he has a first hand personal experiences base on this topic. In my opinion, he can improve by adding more comparison strategy for the reason that to show how subjects are alike and…

On August 26th, IHCDA is will be hosting the Indiana Housing Conference at the J.W. Marriott and are pleased to announce that our keynote speaker will be the distinguished photographer, Tom Casalini. We wanted to highlight his background before discussing his current project we are looking to showcase. Tom attended Indiana University and New York Institute of Photography. After working in Georgia for a period of time, he eventually returned to Indiana as Indiana’s official state photographer. ‘Ordinary Heroes’ and ‘Famous Hoosiers’ are a couple galleries that he has previously completed which attest to his ability to portray symbolic figures on a personal level. In his piece ‘Ordinary Heroes’ he captures the individuality of Medal of Honor recipients and highlights who they are as people in street clothes, just as normal people who have performed admirable services of duty for their country. In his piece ‘Famous Hoosiers’ he captured Indiana natives like Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Fuzzy Zoeller, John Mellancamp, John Wooden, Jim Davis and more to celebrate some of the most acclaimed Hoosiers and their way they represent Indiana through their industries. Tom has a studio in Zionsville we were able to catch up with him at and talk to him about…

It was the Saturday before our topic choice was due, for professor Lee’s class. I was stressing, I could not figure out what to talk about. I literally google searched informative speech topics, but I did not find anything I really wanted to talk about. So I went to work like any normal Saturday. I was bagging groceries like usual, and there is a little boy in my way, so I politely say excuse me and the little boy stares at me with a blank expression. Next thing I know, the little boy runs and hugs my co-worker Darryl, who is bagging next to me. Darryl’s reaction was priceless. He was like “oh my gosh ahhh” and I tell him to chill, because I do not want him to scare the boy. So this happens, and the mother tells me “oh sorry he can not help it, he has autism.” At that moment, it was like God had slapped me in the face with a topic, that is when I decided on my topic of Autism in children, how it is difficult living with autism.…

This was where his journey began, where he describes ‘seeing the expression on someone’s face when they suddenly understand and are fascinated by something like you are’ as a phenomenal thing (SixtySymbols, 2013). His innate ability to make seemingly boring topics become interesting and relatable is my second reason that makes him a hero. His consistent approach and his investment in sharing his own personal wonder and excitement about the universe is…
