Stetson Lynch's Influence On Teenagers
Stetson Lynch Now a days celebrities are gigantic influences on our middle school aged children. Most of our middle school aged kids look up to famous singers or actors and actresses. Is this a good thing?
Most people believe that celebrities are up to no good, but that is not always the case. Sometimes celebrities are trying to be a great example for these children that will soon be our next generation.
On the other hand, there are far too many celebrities who really are trying to sabotage the younger generation. For example, Miley Cyrus was a role model for teens and even young children when she was a young singer/ actress. Now she is nowhere near a suitable role model for our next generation. There are many celebrities like this as well

I agree with Nisey Williams as I too believe that pop culture has a very bad influence on Teens. The teens are so much influenced by their rock stars that they tend to copy every style of their favorite singer. The teens copy everything from their hair to shoes, their clothes and makeup, their way of talking and walking. They also get their bodies tattooed and skin pierced like their rock stars. Moreover to make matters worse, the fashion industry and media add the spice to the popularization of pop culture. The magazines and television channels show half naked pictures and videos of rock stars and pop singers. Music videos and stage show are picturized and performed in see through clothes and this leaves a great impact on the teens that follow them like disciples. The youngsters become so crazy following…

In the article “The Impact Celebrities Have On Our Lives”, Deborah King explains that celebrities can both positive and negative impact on people, and I agree because some celebrities are bad influences to us most especially younger people, but other celebrities are good role models and bring a positive impact on people. Often times on celebrity news shows, they talk about bad things that celebrities have done like cheating on someone else, or even worse like doing drugs or assaulting someone, but I have also seen celebrities being good role models when they donate the money they win on some game show to a charity of their choice or by raising awareness for something like bullying. This demonstrates that some of your favorite celebrities may…

Celebrities have the opportunity to largely influence others and make a difference. On Twitter I follow an actress, Cassie Scerbo who is a youth ambassador for “boo2bullying” and the founder of band with me, an organization that sells wrist bands to raise money for different charities. She recently participated in the 18for18 benefiting the Somaly Mam Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to ending modern slavery and empowering its survivors as part of the solution. In most of her TV roles, Cassie plays the bully or ruthless girl. By following her on Twitter, I get a glimpse of her authenticity that isn’t portrayed in her roles as an actress. Celebrities like Cassie are doing remarkable things with their social presence by supporting great causes. They are making a change and encouraging greatness with every message and tweet that they…

It can even be beneficial coming from someone they don’t even know. It could be someone who sang their favorite song, or stared on their favorite TV show. The truth is that we are obsessed with celebrities. Everywhere you go, celebrities are being advertised. When your son or daughter hears a new singer or sees a new actor on their favourite t.v show, they want to be just like them. Sometimes that is not a good thing. You think to yourself why do people look up to those celebrities? Well it seems to me most celebrities get into these habits because they are too involved in fame and fortune. These people aren’t the ones you would want your children looking up to.…

The answer to why child stars turn into troubled adults may seem simple to most. Many blame all the attention that comes with the fame. Which I can agree with. These kids have so many eyes on them all the time. Every little move they make is under a microscope for the whole world to see and judge. They are pressured to be the perfect role model and mold of a child. Once that spot light is gone and the attention is lost, many crack the mold.…

Young people do not only imitate their outlook, but also start imagining the world from the eyes of these celebrities, instead of nurturing their own thoughts and ideas. Young women waste a wholesum of money in doing the same style of dressing and buying acessories, that are only a waste of time and money, however, very attractive for the businessmen. T-shirts with celebrities names and pictures are one of the examples. Young boys and girls imitate themselves to be Leonardo Dicaprio and Angelina Jolie or expect their spouses to act in the same manner.…

The celebrities of the modern day are not role models to children, as they exhibit bad and illegitimate behaviour. Celebrities make bad reputations for themselves and most have lost many fans because of this. After watching these unfitting superstars for all of their lives, and noticing that their parents have done the same, the children of the twenty- first century are caring more about “Justin Beibers’ arrest in Miami for graffiti”, then the starving children in Africa and saving the endangered Blue Whale. Our children are growing up thinking that it is okay to ignore the…

Living in a technological era, we have access to the tabloids more than ever before. There are television sets, magazine covers, Internet blogs, and movies screaming to be read and watched, and they are plastered with images of these tacky celebrities. Now, in an age where we have more contact with celebrity gossip than we have ever had, we are faced with a question: what are the effects that superstars have on our youth? Celebrities influence fans to be destructively thin, put harmful substances in their bodies, and many parents are concerned with the overall content these celebrities are putting on television, in movies, and over the Internet.
