In the early time periods, when humans competed in sports, they have tried to gain an advantage against their challenger. The yearning for all competitive increase is a component of human nature. As a consequence, there are thousands of records supporting use of performance enhancing drugs as far back as ancient times. Doping is the most scandalous and talked-about matters in sports currently and over the past couple of decade’s performance-enhancers, such as EPO have become a part of today culture. Performance Enhancer was initially intended to be used for medical illnesses or to recover sooner from an accident or injury. There are numerous motives why individuals use performance-enhancing drugs. Performance-enhancers are being used by athletes now to improve their athletic abilities to win big. Athletes use these drugs because they want to be the greatest in the sport that they take part in. Performance-enhancing drugs are man-made chemicals that are related to the male hormone testosterone (Skancke 14). Some commonly abused performance-enhancing drugs include Anadrol (oxymetholone), Dianabol (methandrostenolone), Deca-Durabolin (nandrolone decanoate), and THG (tetrahydrogestrinone) (Leonard 36). Most athletes take steroids by mouth or injection, but the drugs can also be found in forms of creams, skin patches, or nasal sprays most steroid users will take steroids in four to twelve week cycles or longer, then stop for a while, and start another cycle. However, some steroid users will never go off the cycle (Adams 27). Training and competing in sport competitions involves the most complex physical training. For an athlete to be successful in those competitions, his or her brain must be in outstanding condition for getting and sending messages that contain tactic, control, and stability. Recall that Performance Enhancer hinder with your standard chemical processes that upset your moods, performance style, body actions, wellbeing and look, memory. Drugs can ruin what it has taken you a lifespan to achieve. All possibilities can be lost when your body and mind are impaired by drugs. The second hand accounts tell us that our efforts to eradicate doping from sport have been unsuccessful. This extreme measure cut from an athlete’s training time; helping them increase more drastically leaving this competition behind. But the consequences for dishonesty and cheating are minor. Performance Enhancers are more operational in today life than they were in the past decades with just the use of strychnine and sheep’s testicles. Many athletes are also comparatively not likely to submit to test. Performance-enhancing drugs and steroids are harmful to both the athlete’s physical and mental health.
