What are the positive aspects of stereotypes, if any?

I don’t think there are any positive aspects to sterotypes. If anything they make people act a little more careful around people they don’t know. I think that might be the only positive thing that can come out of it. Everything else can sometimes be very hurtful to other people.

What are the negative aspects of stereotypes?
