Stereotypes are common anywhere in the world. These are created by ourselves. A stereotype is an idea or image structured and accepted by most people as a model or behavioral qualities representing a group. On occasions these characteristics representing communities, social classes and people living in a country which does not belong.
Stereotypes can be cultural type that is depending on the customs they have. They could also be social type that is depending on the social level to which they belong. Other serious racial stereotypes, depending on the ethnic group to which they belong. In some cases, there are stereotypes about the religion. On occasions some stereotypes are formed by linking all the above features. In art, literature, theater, films are usually presented many stereotypes because this way characterize the characters more. This mental representation focuses on a group of alleged defects. Sometimes these stereotypes are constructed through prejudices about people who come from a certain part or area of the world. An example of this is a stereotype Native Americans created by the conquerors where the natives were illiterate, savage and uncivilized as they were considered unprepared for life in society. This stereotype was far from reality in some ways. Another example is that of the "Galician" proveniences of Spain were seen as less intelligent and stubborn. There is also the stereotype of foreigners, which were differentiated according to where they come from. Right through the media, advertising many stereotypes are an example of these is homosexuality. This stereotype is well marked in many countries.
Stereotypes bring negative consequences anywhere in the world. For example, children grow marking these stereotypes. Young children do not play with others because they learn from their parents and grow up with these prejudices. These prejudices prevent many people to socialize, to make friends, help others and it is unfortunate this situation. Should guide people, bring some message, make them more aware and stop prejudice and without them would avoid many regrettable situations. Every parent should teach their children not to think this way so that their children grow up in a healthier environment, pleasant, friendly and less controversial. This will avoid a lot of things like abuse, bullying and other.
