Steps to Conserve Natural Resources
Steps to Conserve Natural Resources
Natural resources are actually nature's gift to mankind to help us live a comfortable and peaceful life. But, at the same time, we as human beings have the responsibility of conserving natural resources by taking the right steps. This will help us maintain the environmental balance and satisfy our needs to the maximum. These days, the biggest concern before us is the fast reduction of natural resources such as water, natural gas, and forests. A planned and prudent use of the resources alone can protect from getting extinct.
First, water is the most important natural resource which should be conserved by adopting strict rules and measurements. Often, we see wastage of water on a large-scale which can be avoided by conducting training and information sessions to educate people. People should use minimum water for daily needs such as washing cars and utensils. Whenever you see open taps, you should immediately go and close them properly to save water.

Second, apart from water, steps must also be taken to save natural gas. There are several households which make use of natural gas for heating water in their homes. Instead, if you can have a water heater empty out of a tank, then you will be successful in minimizing excessive use of natural gas. Developing and using solar and hydro power can be a great way of saving natural resources. While the rays of the sun can be used for producing solar energy, also hydro power can be generated by making use of water flow in a dam.

Third, forests are also a precious gift for humans from nature as they provide us protection from the harmful rays of the sun and also with products such as gums and resins. But, over the years, deforestation has affected several regions of the world in a negative way. So, we should participate in campaigns for preserving forests and also take up tasks of planting new trees for our protected future.

In conclusion, keeping the environment clean and healthy

There are many ways to conserve natural resources, all we need to do is look around and find a way to minimize the usage of natural resource that we using everyday. For example, turn off the lights when we leave the house; minimize the waste produced by buying less packaged goods and reusable products, and recycling. These are little things we can do to help, and these does not take much effort to do; however, if everybody does the same, we can still make that difference. In the big picture, we can consider using more renewable natural resources such as hydro-power and solar-power. These energy resources are the best ways to conserve natural resource such as fossil fuel. Fortunately, many energy conservative products have been invented: hybrid or electric cars and energy-efficient home appliances. These are the reflections of people’s concern towards the natural resources depletion. On the whole, we need to start do our share to conserve the energy and resource as part of our responsibility to the natural…

Water is one of the most important resources that we as a species need in order to survive. Although it is abundant on earth, only a few bodies of this precious resource are considered drinkable. According to the World Wildlife Fund, about 1.1 billion people lack access to water (2015). Everyday we use water, whether it’s for drinking purposes, going to the bathroom, and many other daily tasks. However, people have abused this privilege in having access to water. Water is unknowingly squandered by situations such as pollution, drought, or straight up negligence in our own homes. If we, as a society do not take any action at all, then our water supply will surely plummet leaving us to live in a catastrophic world. So what can we do to prevent…

Every resident in this community is reliant on outside sources that use non-renewable resources for power and to clean our water. Every day the resources used are depleted and will eventually run out; in the meantime we set idly by and watch prices escalate. Fossil fuels emit many pollutants (EPA, 2008) into the air and encourage global warming. Those outside sources subject this community to rate increases and dependency on weather conditions. Renewable energy is found in many forms, generated by the earth. Effectively harnessing these energies will reduce gas emissions (EPA, 2008.)…

Deforestation is the cutting down of a large area of trees and the destruction of forests by people. Forests are what we call an exhaustible resource, one which can be used up if it is not used carefully. Over the last few decades, deforestation has threatened the rainforests with total extinction. To understand why deforestation is such an important issue, you first have to understand why trees matter. Trees improve in many ways the life of all species, including the human race. They help to maintain the Earth’s benevolent atmosphere, provide shelter for much biodiversity, but also have a high commercial value. As a consequence there is much critical debate around the causes and solutions for deforestation.…

Forests are important to the production of oxygen, which is why the need to save them is so crucial. According to www.mnn.com more than 20% of the oxygen in the world is produced in the Amazon Rain Forest. Without trees humans would not exist, not only do they produce oxygen but they filter the air we breathe. As reported by www.about.com, a mature leafy tree produces as much oxygen in a season as 10 people inhale in a year. Forests renew our air supply by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. Trees also clean our atmosphere by intercepting airborne particles by absorbing ground-level ozone, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and other greenhouse gases. Stated by www.americanforest.org , a single tree can absorb 10 pounds of air pollutants a year, and produce nearly 260 pounds of oxygen- enough to support two people. Humans do not think cutting down trees here and there will make a big impact, but all the trees they cut down add up and in the end they are only hurting us. In addition to oxygen, forests help reduce global warming.…

Deforestation is an issue we need to fix. I would like to spend 100,000 dollars on deforestation because some of the trees that are being cut down are thousands of years old. “Any fool can destroy trees”(John Muir, “The American Forests,” Atlantic Monthly, August, 1897) Above all this, one fact remains the same, we need trees to live. If we destroy all the trees in the world, we are left with harsh living conditions for ourselves. Our forests should be preserved if we want a better nation.…

Trees are one of the most important aspects of the plant we live in. Trees are vitally important to the environment, animals and mostly us humans. So deforesting them will cause local and global effects on the environment and therefore harming us as well. They are also important for the climate as they act as filters of carbon dioxide. Forests are known as habitats and shelters of millions of species. However, the trees on our planet are being depleted at very high rates. The deforestation that has taken place due to human activity is as big as 50% of the whole planet. The main causes of deforestation is Ranching, Plantations, Logging, Mining, Road Building, Shifting Cultivations and for other commercial purposes.…

Energy conservation is the reduction or elimination of unnecessary energy use and waste. This practice may result in increase human comfort, personal security, national security, environmental value, and financial capital. There are many activities that people can do to conserve energy and help not only themselves, but also the environment and everyone around them. Conserving energy is important because most of our current energy sources are not renewable. When using renewable resources such as biomass, water, geothermal, wind, and solar there will be fewer pollutants in the air. Nonrenewable resources such as coal, petroleum, natural gases, and nuclear power take millions of years to reform again and eventually will become to costly to harvest then humans would have to other sources for energy.…

The things that we do on earth can affect our society as a whole. As we continue to grow our population increases which causes our daily usage to increase. As reported by the Natural Resource Defense Council, the more nonrenewable resources that we use, the less we will have in the future. This is a known fact that has been going on for sometime. So what can we do as a community or society to help to highly reduce the use of using nonrenewable resources and to help our economy become healthier? A few solutions that has already been implemented is recycling (the reduce and reuse affect), use less chemicals such as coal, or gasoline, and to educate more people about what is going on with our planet.…
