Throughout his career, Dave has built an expertise in leadership education within the sports industry, higher education and the non-profit sector, among others. As a part-time faculty member in the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern, Dave teaches a Leadership and Organization course in the Master’s in Sport Leadership as well as Leading Teams and Developing Your Internal and External Leadership Capabilities. Dave has been referenced extensively in print, including The Boston Globe, The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, and ESPN: The Magazine. In addition to his work at Northeastern, Dave serves on the Corporate Boards of Playworks, a nationally renowned recess and after-school play program for public school children in grades kindergarten through 8, and Inner City Weightlifting, a non-profit gang intervention program that uses sport to build peaceful interactions between rival gang members. Dave also serves on the Board of the Somerville (MA) High School Scholarship Foundation. Prior to joining the staff and faculty of Northeastern, Dave spent five years at the United States Military Academy at West Point as a sport psychologist and performance enhancement consultant. In this capacity he taught classes and conducted training with Division I Athletes and the U.S. Army to improve their athletic, academic, and leadership performances.
