I wanted to get into the healthcare field to serve my community and be a positive force in the world. Thus, I will bring a community oriented, positive mindset to Sacred Heart University and the PA profession. I am also an aspiring musician and songwriter; being creative and writing music is something that is important to me. I want to bring my creative-scientific mindset to your university and the PA profession. Wether in classroom, clinic, band room, or on the ocean I am determined to work…

While attending Lewis & Clark College I will foster my passion for nature, environmental advocacy, and politics. Participating in things like the Environmental Living Learning Community will provide an engaging and enriching space to form long-lasting connections with people who share the same desire to promote environmental sustainability. Portland and the beautifully wooded campus at Lewis & Clark provide the type of natural environment that inspires my initiative for environmental advocacy. I look forward to exploring the opportunities near and within Portland, including the many hiking trails. The outdoors have been an important part of my life since childhood. Looking back, some of my happiest memories are from visiting National Parks,…
Southern Methodist University’s mission statement resonates with the same values I admire about a University such as “promoting an environment emphasizing individual dignity and worth”. Growing up I lacked essential self-worth. Upon beginning highs school I was very confused and frustrated person. I was learning to accept myself for being gay and the conservative and traditional environment I was in made it difficult for me to express who I was. The misrepresentation and disrespect I gained from being a double minority in high school fueled a passion in me which became the catalyst for positive change in my academic career. Since I began to attend Tarrant County College, I have joined the Cornerstone honors program offered at the campus and…
When I think about Virginia Commonwealth University, three words come to mind: diversity, excellence and opportunity. Attending such a college as VCU will not only help me educationally, but it will also help shape up many different aspects of my life for many years to come. From the variety of classes to the incredible diversity, VCU has the potential to shape my college years. Since I was four years old, I have always dreamt of living in the city. However, my dream was short lived seeing as how I have lived in upstate New York my whole life. Clifton Park is so closely knit to the point where everybody knows each other. VCU will thankfully change this for me by allowing me to be a part of such a diverse community. I will have the opportunity…
As a student affairs practitioner, my mission is to give back and work hard to build the first generation community. I believe in equal opportunity for all students and the importance of having an education. I will be a leader that makes time for students which includes coaching, advising, and helping them figure out the best vision of themselves. I will create an environment where their voices are heard and help the first gen student find support to be successful.…

I, would be pleased to study in Australia for my post graduation i.e. Master of Information Technology (Professional) related to my previous studies in one of the top universities of Australia, Deakin University. I can definitively, and honestly state that Paul L. Foster School of Medicine is the school of which I have the greatest interest in attending. For eighteen years, I have called the border city of El Paso my home. Our amiable and uniquely culturally diverse population is the reason that I have found living in El Paso to be extremely comforting. The loving nature of the people of El Paso allowed me to develop many friendships, which helped create countless beautiful memories. I want nothing more than to continue my education in El Paso, and to watch this city continue to evolve. Further, I wish to practice medicine in this community which has given so much to my family and me.…
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University. My reasoning for choosing Grand Canyon University for my graduate studies was because of economic and Christian values. Even though, I explored other colleges, but, after looking at the curriculums they offered. I felt as though Grand Canyon University was a better alternative for what I was striving to accomplish in my future career. The field of study that I am seeking is Health Care Administration so that one day I might become an administrator in a hospital or healthcare facility. My overall goal is to receive my Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling Trauma and Crisis so that I in the near future, I might be able to help individuals…
In hopes of a better future for me, I have come to look everywhere for a place the resembles to my goals and my ideas as a human being. Roosevelt University has been one of the few pillards that really resonated within me, not only by their famous reputation they have now, but also by their history. One of the 3 major reasons why i have come to be so interested in Roosevelt University, its because of their Classical Orquestra, their enviroment and City.…
My academic mission is to triumphantly complete my bachelor's degree in Psycholoy by 2019. In earning this degree I am wanting to work anywhere that will allow me to help mentally unstable victims. Being in this particular field I am hoping to help my community demolish this horrible disease. To have success in earning my degree one short-term goal is to make academics a top priority. My second short-term goal is to pass all of my classes. Lastly, my third goal is to grow into an organized student before I…
As I develop as a leader, I plan on participating in different activities and events at UNCG. I would like to take advantage of the leadership skills I currently have by reigniting my passion for events I participated in at my high school. I would like to participate in student government, homecoming, dance, and other activities of my interest. Additionally, community service is an important function towards my daily functions. Just as I was involved in my community as well as its surrounding communities, I plan to adopt Greensboro by being hands-on with community improvement, citizen edification, and youth guidance. I would like to be an example to the youth of Greensboro by volunteering to participate in events that target young males. Also, I would like to participate in the upliftment of Greensboro environmentally and socially by partnering with programs that focus on the community and citizens in need located in Greensboro. Humility and compassion are important traits when it comes to executing these contributions and I believe that my character includes those factors. I want to be a leader in this area, not just an attendant. Greensboro’s energy and aspiration metaphorically flows through the city. In recognition of this, I want to be heavily involved in this dynamic community. As stated, this scholarship sets great students…
