RECOMMENDATION LETTER

To Whom It May Concern,

As the Head Of Department (HOD) for commerce, it gives me great pleasure to recommend Novil Ranawat for pursuing his higher studies in your esteemed institution. He is one of the most promising students I have come across.

I have known him since 2years and taught him secretarial practice and found him to be a student who is endowed with the rare traits of a strong knowledge of the fundamentals and the ability to visualize a problem in a panoramic view and applies the concepts. He has learnt with ease and thereby emerges as a successful student among his classmates. He has consistently performed and I believe that he has a high potential for success in undergraduate school. Novil had been extremely active as a student volunteer in the Rotract Club conference conducted at our Institute.

During my interaction with him, I found him to be attentive, intelligent and enthusiastic learner. He is sincere in his academics and was always eager to come up with novel methods to solve problems. Two years of interaction has been an ample time for me to note his sharp secretarial practice with an excellent grasp of the concepts.

He has good imagination for planning to study and determination to carry it out. His excellent command over the subject will definitely suit for education and research. He is a student who will work very hard towards the fulfillment of any responsibility he undertakes. He bears excellent character and conduct and is simple and energetic with initiatives and drive.

I am fully confident that he will prove himself worth enough at your institution and fulfill all the requirements that expected from a prospective student. He has the capacity to work effectively and efficiently in a group as well as alone. I therefore, recommended him

He is a self-motivated learner and receives a great amount of support from his parents. He appreciates participating in class and feels confident to take risks. He displays a very positive attitude towards learning English and the group is aware of that and has a good relationship with him. He enjoys talking and interacting both with the teacher and with his peers. Having said that, I feel that his predominant intelligence is the interpersonal one, because his behavior in class reflects what is stated by Puchta & Rinvolucri (2005:8): “Central to this intelligence is the ability to listen to what the other person seems to be saying …to be able to gain good rapport with another person, and to be adept at negotiation and persuasion.”. Every time I asked a question to the whole group, Leonardo would attempt to respond. Overall, his positive attitude towards learning has impacted his progress, especially his spoken production. Also, his predominant cognitive style is impulsive, as stated by Christison in Nunan (2003:270) “…learns more effectively when they can respond to new information immediately…”. During the lesson, his peers have also profited from his supportive approach in the speaking activities. Moreover, his participation in the T-WG interactions helped lower other learners’ affective filter and encouraged them to do the same. Contrary to…
