Statement of Purpose
I am Khandaker Rajive-Ul-Islam, son of Mr. Rafiq-Ul-Islam and Mrs. Rahima Akter. I have completed the four year course “Bachelor of Dental Surgery” under Dhaka University in the year 2009. I have got GPA 4.00 out of 5.00 in Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) examination in the year 2004 from Notre Dame College and have got GPA 4.88 out of 5.00 in Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) examination in the year 2002 from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School.
I have chosen to complete the course named “Certificate 4 in Dental Assisting” the duration of which is one year. This course includes Prepare for and assists with oral health care procedure, Assist with dental radiography, assist with administration in dental practice, Apply first aid, Communicate and work effectively in health. As a dentist, I think I will be able to acquire practical knowledge about Prepare for and assist with oral health care procedure which was included in my completed Bachelor degree. I have good theoretical knowledge about this topic. But if I take this course I will be a better dentist with a good practical knowledge. In Dentistry, dental radiography is a very important topic. In almost every topic of Dentistry, radiography is an essential part. But in the course “Bachelor of Dental Surgery”, there is not very good scope of gathering knowledge about it. So it will be a great opportunity for me to take the course “Certificate 4 in Dental Assisting” and learn about radiography precisely. Again, by taking this course, I will be able to learn how to assist with administration in dental practice and how to apply important first aid. Besides, I think to communicate and work effectively in health, this course is a must for me. It will help me a lot to improve my communication skills as well as workmanship. So, I am confident that if I complete this course, I will be able to contribute to the quality of dental care, use well developed communication skills, as well as
