Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
NAME: SRIKANTHREDDY SANIKOMMU
Firstly I would like to introduce myself as an undergraduate student of the Bachelor of Engineering program from Adam’s Engineering College, one of the most prestigious institutions of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. I have completed my course of engineering in the field of 'Electronics and Communication Engineering’, which was for a period of four years. I graduated in the first class with distinction. Hence, having done an inspiring four-year course in Electronics and Communications Engineering, I would like to put to use this knowledge to do my Masters in Telecommunications. This would give me the leading edge in technology. For the past few decades man is advancing into the unknown realms of technology and science. This advancement is to make life easy and to increase human comfort at home and at work and I would like to be an integral part of such betterment. For this, master’s degree and research would be of prime importance with hands on experience in real time applications accompanied by in-depth knowledge of the subject. Technology, today, means power in the widest sense of the term and not merely the power of mind. And it is this power potential that has given it the status it now enjoys. While all this is generally true, since India has been a late comer in the field of Telecommunications, it has to make up an enormous leeway.

A natural aptitude for mathematics, a sense of logic, analytical ability, capacity for diligent work and high academic credentials secured me a place at Adam’s engineering College after my +2. The curriculum at Adam’s exposed me to the entire gamut of Electronics and Communication courses thus laying a strong foundation for both my Hardware and Software fundamentals. During my engineering course I was introduced to the subjects like Signals and systems, Digital signal processing, Antenna wave propagation, Switching theory and logical design, Wireless

I wasn’t terribly sure what I wanted to do with my life, nor did I have any idea how to get where I thought I wanted to be. My relative lack of passion wasn’t seen as a deterrent in my affluent Texas town, though, as it was a place where nearly all high school students went on to college—it was the only option we really considered or that was presented to us by our families, teachers, and counselors as a post-graduation plan. So I began the requisite search by looking first at nontraditional college environments, for while I had done reasonably well at my large and impersonal public high school, nor had I flourished either. It seemed to me that if I was going to spend the next four years of my life in school, I might as well try a different tactic than the one that had allowed me to coast rather unremarkably through high school.…

I am in love with the world. I’m lucky because my whole life thus far has been a mosaic of different cultures and places, which has given me a really open and exposed mind. Being born in Peru, I grew up with the charm of the Incan culture. My ancestors were leaders - unique, smart, and innovative; and I am proud of it. When I was seventeen, I moved to Mexico to get my bachelor’s degree. Even though I went by myself, I was more excited than scared because I was going to experience a new culture, learn new things and make my world even bigger. I spent seven years in Mexico after which I moved to the United States.…

In the past few years, India has been getting ready to become one of the strongest economies in the world. The current slogan `India Shining’ adopted by one of the country’s political parties, is most apt in business. With liberalization, the country has seen tremendous growth. Multinationals have poured in bringing with them, huge opportunity and most importantly, optimism for the future. The feel good factor is upon us, and I, as an Indian, revel in the new business avenues being thrown open for generation next. I started my education by schooling at St. Lawrence High School, one of Mumbai’s most prestigious schools where the bar for educational achievement was set high, but the importance of a well-rounded personality was equally important. I took my S.S.C degree from the same school with a first class after which I pursued my H.S.C from The Bombay Suburban Grain Dealer’s Junior College Of Commerce, Arts & Science and now I am pursuing my Graduation (B.B.A) from The Indira College of Commerce and Science (affiliated to Pune University) in pursuit of a college degree.…

Statement of Purpose My name is Carlos Nieva. I received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Telecommunications in the fall of 1998 from ITESM (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey), Mexico. I received the degree of Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in the fall of 2002 from NMSU (New Mexico State University). My advisor and co-advisor during my Master’s degree studies were Dr. Jaime Ramírez-Angulo and Dr. Paul Furth, respectively. The topic of my Master’s degree thesis is “Low-voltage, class AB and high slew rate two-stage operational amplifiers”. The curricular focus of my bachelor degree is in electronics and communications. During my undergraduate studies I took several courses covering topics in electronic design, analog and digital communications and microwave devices such as transmission lines and antennas. The curricular focus of my Master’s degree was strongly based in analog circuit design using CMOS technology. My circuit designs were implemented with a point fivemicrometer CMOS technology. My thesis proposes a new op-amp architecture that operates at very low voltages and offer higher speed performance compared to classical op-amp architectures. The thesis project includes the circuit design, spice simulations, the chip layout design and the chip testing at the laboratory. The chip layout design was sent to the MOSIS service for fabrication. During my Master’s degree I took courses in CMOS analog, digital, RF and mixed signal design. Other complementary courses taken for the completion of the degree were in the areas of microwave engineering, DSP and communication systems. The areas of research that I am interested in are classified into one of the following categories. One area of interest is the circuit implementation of data wireless communication systems and DSP systems. The second area of interest is the development of circuits for RF and high-speed mixed signal applications. Some examples for this…

Diploma in E&TC was a precursor to make me think over telecom sector and which cleared undoubted growth of the domain in coming years. During the time of professional experience in Larsen & Toubro, Mumbai I was very well convinced towards radical growth of telecom & networks sector in the decade of 2000-10 and potentiality of same in future days. While working on ONGC project, there was demand from client for modifications of communication system across the oil well & process platforms, where I learned the successful application of latest communication technologies and advancement into core engineering sector. Along with this we bagged the most prestigious “L&T ICON” award for completion of the project.…
