In the dive I create a streamline position so that I can make a clean entry into the water, this will limit the splash at the point of entry into the water allowing me to swim a faster length. Whilst I wait to dive of the board I must make a specific pose with body so that I can enter the water quickly. The first position should be made before a signal has been called out, I should have my fingertips touching the tip of the board, one heel should be in contact with the board and the other foot should be placed at the back of the board. When a signal has been called to signify the start of the race I should balance my body weight towards the front of the board. I believe that my reaction time to the signal is also one of my strengths as I react very quickly.…

Dive watches generally need to have a water resistance of at least 100 meters with 200 meters being the recommended minimum for scuba diving. Dive watches today are now available with water resistance ratings that are much deeper than you are likely to dive at. You will find watches here with ratings as high as 1000 meters for professional scuba diving. Some also feature helium release valves - a one-way pressure relief valve typically consisting of a strong spring, a plug, and a good rubber gasket. The helium valve prevents damage to the watch due to the buildup of helium gas in the watch after extended stays inside the dry pressurized habitats used for commercial diving.…

Be aggressive out of your dive, think of every stroke as a reach toward to the wall, don’t pull yourself high on your turns, keep foot flexed and knees together for the kick… My inner monologue continues as I run every detail of my race through my head. Adrenaline pumps through my body, following the beat of the music pulsing in my ears. I had prepared for this moment all season… Scratch that, I didn’t even think I’d get here.…

Based on the contents of my household trash a dumpster diver would discover a personal, but rational story. During the week when Mother Nature arrives, they would find an abundance of used plastic applicators and open Tampax Pearl wrappers. If their scavenge occurs on the weekend an empty twenty-eight day regimen of Orsythia would be found, along with the feminine waste. From this find a dumpster diver can conclude one is preventing pregnancy. Depending on the time of year they may also find crinkled up papers filled with math problems. This additional find will add to the story; one is building a career before parenthood.…

I get halfway to the other end of the pool. I start to feel my lower half start to droop in the water. I say happy words like “I can do it” or “almost there!” The words pump me up for only a short bit of time. But then the words get drowned out. I get to the wall and do my last flip turn. I push off the wall and start my strokes…

For this stroke review, I performed two strokes: the front crawl and the breaststroke. The former is the fastest swimming stroke and uses the flutter kick. One thing I did well when performing the front crawl was keeping my elbow slightly bent as I reached with each hand. On the other hand, I lifted my head too much; the correct form requires the face to be down, turning only slightly and quickly for an inhale.…

I chose the theme underwater because I have found that it provides an optimal learning environment. Children are familiar with under water life from a very early age, and I could use that knowledge to incorporate it into my lesson. There’s a vast majority of sea creatures that the kids could fall in love with creating a love for the classroom. Having a bright and colorful classroom will help keep the students alert in class as well as slightly energized. The room will not be too busy that it distracts them from learning but just the right amount. Studies have shown that the unisex environment will benefit the children because they won’t see one sex superior to the other. The children will have an equal opportunity and that will be shown by…

What is the deepest place on Earth? The Mariana Trench of course. The Mariana trench is the deepest and most unknown place on Earth. The trench is 36,201 feet deep, which is very surprising compared to the average depth of an underwater trench, which is 12,200 feet deep. Many oceanographers are fascinated by the trench and have attempted dives to go to the bottom. In 1960 the U.S. Navy sent two divers in a manned vehicle to daringly dive deep into the trench. The trip took five long cold hours to reach the very bottom of the Mariana Trench. The world’s Deepest trench is not your average 12,000-foot deep hole.…
