History of Starbucks
In 1971, Starbucks opens first store in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. In 1982,Howard Schultz joined Starbucks as the director of retail operations and marketing. Starbucks begins providing coffee to fine restaurants and espresso bars. In 1984, the first Starbucks® Caffè Latte, the coffee house, was founded in Seattle. In 1987,Howard Schultz purchased the company and Starbucks began to sell brew coffee and espresso beverages. In 1991, Starbucks became America's first private enterprise to provide part-time employees with stock options. In 1992, Starbucks completed IPO on NASDAQ ,which marked the new beginning of development. History of Starbucks China

In Jan, 1991, Starbucks opened the first store in Beijing, which represented that Starbucks have entered China market. Since then ,Starbucks has entered many Chinese cities and brought different products into Chinese market. In March, 2010,Starbucks launched new products ,especially for China market–tea beverages. In Nov , 2010,Starbucks set up coffee processing plants in Yun nan Province. Up till now, Starbucks have had 403 stores and 12000 employees in China.
