REBT
I was interested about REBT REPT or ABCDE of emotional outcomes. I recall the first days I was in my convent. At night, when I went to bed, I heard the sound of hundreds of insects and amphibians elevated at the same time. The noise went into my ear was like torture. It is the (activating event) “A”. I covered my face and ears with a blanket and hope that I could sleep, but I could not. I was very tired and annoyed annoying. I just wanted to cry. (It is emotional consequence “C”). I thought that the sound (A) bothered me, and I believed that my situation was terrible, but actually, it was “B” “C” my emotion, (this is “B” my beliefs. Because, on the third night, I lay on my bed asking myself; “If I cannot tell the insects and amphibians keep quiet, what should I do?” I started to count: one sound, two sounds, three sounds, and many other different sounds, but all of them elevated at the same time like a wonderful concert. (It is “D” (DISPUTE)). (Interesting way to look at something differently.) I closed my eyes and listened to them as I was listening to music. I thanked God for a wonderful gift from nature. My belief was changed. I could sleep well since then. I finally had an “effective” (E) new philosophy of my life.
