Spring Break Research Paper
Spring break is the one week everyone looks forward too. Sun on your skin, sand in your toes, and no school. My family always likes to go somewhere warm for spring break. We recently just bought a condo, in Panama City Beach, Florida. Spending 16 hours in the car with two brothers is a nightmare, but it also creates a lot of new memories. My parents first got the idea of buying a condo from a show called Beach Front Bargain House. They became so obsessed with it they started to look more into it, and next thing I knew we owned a condo. After a long, long, car ride we always just relax for the rest of the day. Our condo is located in Pinnacle Port Resort. They have two pools both are outside, but one can be turned into a indoor. Things can get heated when my brother Lucas and I play tennis. I win of course. I wasn’t kidding when I said sand it your toes, we are right on the beach. One time I was walking on the beach, and I saw a baby shark. My family likes to visit new places when we head down …show more content…
I would ride the kayak across the lake and under the bridge to the other side of the lake to a golf course. But that would be one heck of a work out. Rosemary Beach is just a short drive for us, and it is a small village. They have shops where you can rent bikes, eat, candy shops, you can also go onto the beach. We went their one year and it was a lot of fun, I hope to go back soon. Not only does our condo have a lot of entertaining things to do, they also have a village. With a short walk you can get ice cream, eat, rent bikes, and go to a souvenir shop. You know what yoga is, but have you ever seen people doing yoga on paddle boards, in the middle of a lake. That is something I want to while i’m there, but I don’t know if I would want to try it. I think everyone is counting down the days til spring break, I can’t wait to go back, and maybe try new

Some Sumer activities that I like to do or achieve for the school break are having fun with my friends and family and play. On really hot days we go down to the lake and play in the water or go fishing. I also like to play with my dog and go for walks with her if I'm not dragging her all the way there and back. Sometimes I do work with my dad most of the times it involves a lot of elbow grease. I love to do fun activities with my mom that does relate a little work, at the end she gets us a treat. On the days I'm not doing anything I go out with friends or they come to my house, and if I'm good we go to get air, other wise, we just watch movies and relax. On other days when we are in the garden I like to swim, maybe even play with the sprinklers and bother my brothers.…

When I was 18, my family took a trip to Cancun for Spring Break. I absolutely loved the beaches and palm trees, the white sand, hot sun and blue waves. Ever since then I have had a real passion for tropical islands. My favorite and perhaps the most beautiful Islands I've researched are the Cayman Islands. I've only seen pictures and heard stories but I've already decided that's where I am getting married. I still however, don't know anything about the islands. My love for these islands and my thirst for knowledge on the topic has driven me to do more research and find out the history behind the Cayman Islands. I want to know everything about them, so far the only thing I know is that there are three islands, Grand…

Last fall our school board decided to make it mandatory for students to attend school year-round. There were many issues to look at before making this decision. I feel that year round school can both benefit and hurt children. There are many issues that people are for and against for year round schooling. What will happen to kids who have summer jobs or even part time jobs? Employers look for kids who are willing to work during the summer months when there are more activities going on in our community. During the school year students can only work part time and during the summer they are able to work more hours. When school is out during the winter months, things are slower, so business is slow. When this happens, it decreases will decrease…

Most students enjoy summer vacation, but some educators feel like the summer breaks are too long and students do not retain information as easily when they return in the fall. I believe that we should not have year round school because students and teachers have important responsibilities, personal time, and school and work obligations.…

The play A Streetcar Named Desire revolves around Blanche DuBois; therefore, the main theme of the drama concerns her directly. In Blanche is seen the tragedy of an individual caught between two worlds-the world of the past and the world of the present-unwilling to let go of the past and unable, because of her character, to come to any sort of terms with the present. The final result is her destruction. This process began long before her clash with Stanley Kowalski. It started with the death of her young husband, a weak and perverted boy who committed suicide when she taunted him with her disgust at the discovery of his perversion. In retrospect, she knows that he was the only man she had ever loved, and from this early catastrophe evolves her promiscuity. She is lonely and frightened, and she attempts to fight this condition with sex. Desire fills the emptiness when there is no love and desire blocks the inexorable movement of death, which has already wasted and decayed Blanche's ancestral home Belle Reve.…

As seasons change, and the school year progresses, many students lose that “first day of school excitement” (I know that I do!) (parenthesis) that they once felt. So how do we regain that joy that once filled us? The answer is simple, year round school. Having school year round will enable students to expand their knowledge, decrease the time during which kids are idle when they tend to get into the most trouble, and reduce the stress levels of both teachers and students.…

Department of Communication and Mass Media University of Wyoming Laramie, Wyoming, USA Currently, limited research exists that explores the socially taboo topic of interracial dating between African Americans and European Americans. Historically, African Americans and European Americans have had a highly destructive relationship of enslavement and oppression, which has resulted in a history of mistrust, according to P. H. Collins (African American Feminist Thought : Knowledge, Consciousness and the Politics of Empowerment, New York,Routledge, 1990). As a result, this relationship symbolizes the institutionalized oppression embedded in race relations despite the very intimate nature of this romantic relationship. Using the centrality of race within the context of romantic relationships, this study was designed to determine how race in uences the communicative process. Q-sort methodology was used, which required participants to determine what waiting, hinting, direct, and third-party intervention strategies they would use to initiate a date in both same-race and interracial contexts. Findings reveal that when comparing verbal strategies across both contexts and open-ended responses to likelihood or reality of dating interracially, participants were resistant to the idea of dating a person from another race. External factors such as family and society were cited as primary deterrents to involvement in an interracial romantic relationship. In general, participants in this study used more social distancing strategies for initiating interracial dating relationships than same-race dating relationships. School year round. Almost every kid in America dreads those three words. As soon as someone says that, a kid automatically thinks, no breaks, no summer, no fun. I would too if I didn’t know anything about it. But since I do I don't really mind the idea. Sure, it would take away the meaning of summer and everything you are used too but…. Back when I was in high school around late November early December is when I begin to get sick and I felt really tired and all I wanted to do was sleep. In early January I found out that I was pregnant. After Christmas break when I went back to school I would put my head down and hope for all the morning sickness to go away. I eventually ended up falling asleep and forgetting what was going on in class. My teacher would hand me my assignment and I would take them home that night along with my homework and never completed because I was so tried. After school I would go straight to work and I did not get off work until 11:00pm or sometimes 12:00pm by the time I got in the house I was ready to shower and get in bed I did not feel like doing homework…
