Spread Of Islam Research Paper

Muhammad, the founder of Islam, followed his revelation, and sought this new faith upon Arabia. Correspondingly, Islam was a monotheistic religion that disseminated throughout the regions of the Arabian Peninsula, Southeast Asia, India, and the Iberian Peninsula from 622-1500 C.E. Furthermore, Muslim rule extended to many parts of Afro- Eurasia due to military expansion, and Islam later expanded through the activities of merchants and missionaries. Although the Bedouins, Ummayyads, and Sufis facilitated Islam, it was through trade, conquests, and influences that led to the spread of this religion through the Arabian Peninsula, Southeast Asia, India, and the Iberian Peninsula. The directionsof the spread of islam have many differenes and similarities.
