The word “Evil” carries with it a weight condemned by almost every culture, religion and person around the world. Where it is universally understood that when evil pertains to something it directly means that it is malevolent and immoral. When evil corresponds to the actions of another human, so much to the point where the human is considered evil and wicked, we then have an individual who possesses a strong moral evil and lust for the corruption of humanity. I strongly believe that the most vile, wicked, and immoral person to ever live throughout history is Vlad Dracula (or) Vlad the Impaler.…

He receives the letter from bad horse saying that he received his application and he needs to prove himself before he can be in the league. If you listen to Dr. Horrible song on being a villain you will notice he is not becoming evil to destroy the world, but rather to stop it so he can find the time to think of the perfect words to say to Penny; his secret love. Perhaps Dr. Horrible thinks that to be an evil villain he must be strong, smart, and brave; things he may be insecure that he lacks himself. Also in his song he says that it is not nor a death ray or a snow ray because that is too wrong for him. He simply just wants Penny to have the time to realize that he is the guy for her.…

Horrible did not seem very much like the evil villain that he believes he is. He was an evil man with morals. He didn’t believe in hurting or killing anyone in order to get what he wanted. This side of doctor horrible was shown throughout act one in the scene where he stole a brief case containing items he needed from a van. He was able to accomplish this personal goal with hurting anyone in his way, not even his enemy Captain Hammer. Just because Dr. Horrible didn’t hurt anyone during his process of getting the briefcase, he still committed to stealing something that did not belong to him. This gives him a selfish individual mind set because the only person being positively affected is himself, since he is now getting closer to reaching his main…

From reading my book The Fate of Ten by Pittacus Lore I think I know a little bit more about the answer to the question of how people become evil. “I’m shocked by how normal he seems, a young guy sitting on the beach, staring glumly at a girl he likes. Where did it all go so wrong?” At this part in my book it is having a flashback to a scene from the villain's past. At this moment he seems so normal that it is odd how sinister he became. The book is questioning how people become evil too.…

Martin Luther King Jr. once said “He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.” Evil comes in many forms resembling events like terrorist attacks and crimes such as burglaries, rapes, hit and runs, plus more. No matter how small the evil may seem it always has its companion, fear. Fear is able to consume even the smallest of children and make evil seem much more extreme than it has to be. Evil is something that you can overpower or it can overpower you no matter the age in the novels Lord of the Flies, I am Malala, and the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.…

Someone’s evil could be easily identified by his/her malevolent intentions and acts of cruelty toward others people. Villains, well known as dictators, usually tend to have all these characteristics. Through the history there are many examples of dictators as the government of Adolf Hitler, who totally wanted to eliminate all people who did not meet the physical qualities that he had resigned. Especially he wanted to remove Jews people from German Civil Society. Hitler expressed evil through his deeds and hatred towards other races. Some have tried to justify his way of thinking and even some of the things he did. However, Hitler’s malevolent acts went beyond any other cruelty that ever existed on earth. From all the bad things he committed there are three acts that classified him as a villain. Among them are human torture practices, about 17 million murders and the…

Villains and heroes are the fabric of human culture. These sides of good and evil are seen in books, films, and everywhere in-between. For example, an iconic figure in American pop culture is the superhero, Superman. On the other side, villains such as Lizzie Borden, and the narrator from The Tell-Tale Heart allude to humanities dark side. From they very beginning of the comic series there has not been a person that has crossed the line between hero and villain as much as Magneto. Darth Vader is a great example of someone that many people consider evil, but they are wrong. When looked at from the viewpoint of an existentialist his actions are innocent. Existentialist believe that only their personal existence matters. They feel as though they have the freedom to do whatever they please just because they have the ability to do it. Based on this reasoning Grendel, a character from John Gardner’s novel Grendel, can not be evil, he merely acts because he has the ability to do so.…

All throughout my childhood, I have consistently gravitated towards the villainous characters in movies. There was always an intriguing aspect of their mysteriousness that normally came with a lack of background information. They could do anything and everything they pleased without taking orders from anyone, not even their Mom. This is perhaps one of the most appealing aspects as to why I would decide to be a villain as opposed to a hero. I am sure that you could psychologically trace this decision back to the authoritative style parenting that I have been raised on. Being on the ‘dark side’ of the spectrum would allow me to exert the rebellious desires that I have been hoarding while living under my parents’ roof. This is not to say that…
