Specific Purpose: To persuade or reinforce the attitude of my audience towards the benefits of breastfeeding.

Thematic Statement: There are diverse reasons why we should breastfeed our children. I will educate you on why breastfeeding is important for the baby, where parents can find valuable helps if they have issues and additional benefits for the mother.
I. Introduction: Hi, my name is prisca and i am going to talk about breast-feeding and how important it is for our infants.
A. Attention: have you ever ask the question: Was i breastfed when i was a child? It makes me wonder how many of us have been breastfed.
B. Audience connect/credibility: I know that i have been breast-feed till i was 15 months old because i asked my mother the question when i was pregnant of my first child. The best feeling in the world is to hold your new born baby, nursing him while rocking in a chair knowing that he is having the best nutrients. I breastfeed my child till 9 months old.
C. Thematic Statement: There are diverse reasons why we should breastfeed our children. I will educate you on why breastfeeding is important for the baby, where parents can find valuable helps if they have issues and additional benefits for the mother.
II. Body A. Main Point: Breastfeeding is the moment that allows the child to suck her mother breast to drink the milk that is naturally provides. The American Academy of Pediatrics(AAP) joints others organizations such as the American Medical Association(AMA) and other more in recommending breastfeeding as the best for babies.(Disanto, J,2012)
1. Support material: The milk of the breast is rich with nutrients and antibodies to protect the body. The breast milk has the right amount of fat, sugar, water and proteins to help your body continue to grow. It is also easier to digest than formula.
