Sophie Alternate Ending

Calling out, I was hoping Sophie could hear me. Occasionally, I could hear the sound of rustling leaves or a thud in the distance. Hoping it was Sophie, I kept calling out. She wouldn’t leave me out here, she loves me too much. Just like I love her. Hanging from my foot between two trees, I heard Sophie say my name. A split second later, I saw a big black shape crash into a bush. It was a wild female bonobo with an infant on her back. At the same time, I saw her and I wanted to get this rope off and jump into Sophie’s arms. Jerking into the air, I tried to reach up to try and grasp the knot. Since I missed, my arms were pointing to the ground that seemed so far away. “Oh, my Otto, I’ll get you down.” Sophie said. Being able to hear this was very relieving. She was my world. But,
Wishing she would, without a doubt, I know that Sophie has a plan on how to get us out of this mess. The man and woman started talking. With a knife clenched in her mouth, the woman went to the tree opposite of Sophie. With feeling relieved that she didn’t choose Sophie’s tree, the woman kept getting closer to me and finally I couldn’t see her anymore. While wondering what she was doing, I tensed up. In my head, I thought, “Has she spotted Sophie? Is she going to hurt me?” The woman just cut the rope and I landed on the man’s chest. When I reached out for him to hold me, he acted surprised and just dropped me onto the dirt. He held the rope like a leash at arms length away. This forced me to stand on one hand since my foot was swollen and I had to drag it. We began to walk away, well the woman was now holding the rope and I was being hauled behind.
“Where is Sophie? Why isn’t she coming or helping me?” I thought. I tried to stay on my back and put my palms into the ground so I didn’t turn over. My face was being dragged in the dirt and rocks and I began to cry as we turned around the
