Topic:Some students like classes where teachers lecture (do all the talking) in class. Other students prefer classes where students do some of the talking. Which type of class do you prefer? Give specific reasons and examples to support your choice. From past 10 years, I have experienced a number of teachers who are in various class teaching styles. On one side, parts of the students like their teacher do a lecture in class. On the other side, a large number of students prefer to do some talking rather than just listening. From my perspective, taking in class is really necessary for students to improve themselves. First of all, it is very important for students if they can talk and communicate with the teacher and classmates in class. That way, they can learn more from each other and improve work efficiency. As we all know, different people have their own distinct standpoints for a same problem. Listening to the speaking of other students, the listeners can follow the track and reach various viewpoints. Moreover, the strongpoint of other's will correct listeners 'drawbacks, enrich their consideration and mature their thoughts. Everyone wants such a precious chances to study. My best friend team is always willing to interact or exchange ideas with others. By this way of learning, he learns a lot from others and remedies his disadvantages. Now, he is one of the top students in our class. That's really helpful for everyone to improve not only the knowledge, but also their confidence. What they have done in the class has so many benefits in their development road. For example, one of the most influential celebrities of this generation named KaiFu Lee likes to talk and give special points in the class.(from Chengdu Evening News reporter Wang Xingqu) Sometimes his opinion maybe not right, but he keeps his way in the class with the encouragement of the teacher. His imagination was greatly boosted and knowledge was highly enriched because he insisted on

A class dedicated on teaching a student to remain focused and take accurate notes in lectures would be beneficial to all the daydreamers, doodlers and dozers who can't listen to a teacher and stay focused on the words coming out of her mouth. I know the effects all too well. As my teacher begins her daily rant, I shut my mind off and let it wander around the room. I see students snoring in the corner and others doodling in their notebook or flinging notes to each other as slyly as possible. I smile at their antics in relieving the exhausting boredom of a class like this. Only a handful of students are actually listening to the teacher and it is evident that they rather be anywhere else doing anything else. With lunch just ten minutes…

Having good communication skills will help us develop better relationships especially with younger people. Some students who lack in confidence may find it hard to communicate at all with us, so if we come across to that student in a positive and gentle manner they are more likely to open up to us and talk. We would not like to be spoken to in a negative way so therefore we should also be careful of how we speak to others too.…

One example of this was the peer review. Reading one another’s opinions and seeing different writing styles helped me to expand my thinking. We were all writing about the same topic, but the array of differences was amazing. Sometimes an individual doesn’t get a point that someone else has; this helped me to see things from another person’s view. The peer review also made you think on a more critical level, finding those hidden grammar errors in the text. Another way we worked together was in a debate. It was awesome to hear everyone’s ideas about one topic, and try and persuade the classmates you had the right answer’s. There were no right or wrong answers, however, the feedback was interesting to hear. This was my favorite activity we did as a class. It’s important to keep interaction following in the classroom, so we can learn and grow as a class not just as individuals.…

Last but not least, everyone in the class shares the same interest. One is not going to feel left out by not sharing the same interest as one another. It is easier to make friends if everyone share the same interest. We all have at least one thing in common, we all like to lift weight and better ourselves health wise. As I have stated sharing the same interest as one another makes making friends a ton easier than if you did not have any of the same…

First I agree with Daniels that lecture classes are not an effective way of learning. Throughout the years, I found that I learn better by getting involved with classmates in group projects, writing research papers, or doing some sort of in-class assignment that assisted me in better learning the material. From the beginning of my academic career I was taught in an active learning environment. My biology class is an excellent example. The instructor could have stood at the front of the class and talked all day about how to dissect a frog, but the only way it was really going to have an impact in my learning was to actually pick up the scalpel and forceps and cut into it myself. Only then could I better understand what the instructor had been trying to teach all along, which was what the internal organs looked like, and how they functioned. It’s very similar with all my English…

In order to contribute to positive relationships, you will need to demonstrate and model effective communications skills in your dealing with others. This means that you should consider both how you approach other people and how you respond to them. We are more likely to communicate information to one another if we have positive relationships. Parents and other adults who come into the school are more likely to give beneficial support if communication is strong and effective – this, in turn, benefit pupils.…
