Solange Song Don T Touch My Hair

In Solange song “Don’t Touch My Hair” she reveals a message that can catch people’s attention mainly females because it reveals the stereotype or judgement of black women who don’t like their hair to being touched or judged no matter what it looks like. Hair can be representation of an African American soul because of the majority take deep pride for the hair that they display upon themselves. In her song I do believe that Solange did a affective job to display her thought process towards her feeling of hair and creating a voice towards people who view or think the same way as her when it comes to having strong pride towards hair and making it known it’s an important factor of who they are as a person. Hair can represents part of everybody’s identity and plays a part of how you patiently could carry yourself. I can’t directly relate how important hair is for the opposite sex but from what I noticed, is that the more hair an individual have it values them highly mainly in the female category because they are more than likely to have more hair then males. Artist are role models to the people that listen to their music because it catch’s the attention of how their different and extravagant. Due to that it brings a magnet type popularity that makes them famous and wealthy. Solange are one of the artist that display a huge impacts towards females because they hear her sing a common concern that females deal with on regular basis, not just through one song but through different songs she release throughout her career. Her positive concerns help foreshadow her difference she make’s for her fan’s.
