I own a softball bat. It is exaclty 31 inches long and 21 ounces. I first came accros my bat when i had broke my last one. In the beginning i didn’t want this bat i thought it wasn’t going to feel the same as my last one. Once Demarini shipped it to my house I felt so happy. Once i saw the USPS man at my door, I ran to grab my bat and when I opened it I couldn’t stop smiling. It was so pretty. All the colors were bright and smooth. After my first game that all changes. I had already chipped the metal got the grip dirty and made a smudge from amazing triple I hit in my first at bat. On many places on the bat the paint has been chipped, from me hitting my cleats on my bat to get the dirt off. My bat in not end loaded like many other bats. When

Buckminsterfullerenes or buckyballs are the next step in finding the cure to cancerous tumors. Buckyballs are made out of nano tubes and look like a spider-web stuck together to form a ball. They were discovered on accident when scientists were trying to vaporize carbon. The unnamed atom product was appealing to the eye so they did further research. Based on their shape, buckyballs were named after an American architect Buckminster Fuller who built dome shaped buildings similar to the eye as buckyballs. Are there other uses buckyballs can be used for?…

My research revealed three main points to me. One being that metal bats have a larger “sweet spot” than wood bats. The “sweet spot” of a baseball bat is a place on the bat where the ball leaves the bat with the greatest speed and the player's hands feel very little vibration from the impact. This is because a metal bat’s barrel can hold a uniform shape longer than a wood bat. This larger “sweet spot” provides a better chance for the ball to not only be hit but hit harder.…

    Pop-Up In A Softball

What would happen if we threw seventy pop-ups to different players on the softball team? That’s exactly what we wanted to find out. Softball is a fun sport, and being that everything is determined on the skill level of the team, we thought this would be as challenging as it is fun! First, let’s explain what a pop-up is. A pop-up is a fly ball; the pitcher throws the ball aiming considerably high in the air and the player is supposed to catch it. We wanted to know how many times our pitcher could throw the ball before ‘missing’ her target. Consider a catch to be a success and a dropped ball to be a failure. Assuming all the players on the team are equally skilled, we can determine a dropped ball to be the result of a ‘bad’ pitch. This,…

Every sport is played with specialized equipment to enhance their performance. For example a football player wouldnt want to play with a volleyball, and a golfer wouldn't want to swing with a hockey stick (unless you're Billy Madison). Alot of people don't know the science and ergonomics behind various sports equipment. Baseball bats are no different. Most see a big wooden stick, I see an artisan crafted tool. Although in the beginning it didn't start that way.…

There was one time when we were playing and he said my disc was a magic disc and I told him it was not. On the next hole I threw a bad shot, the disc rolled on the ground for a few yards then his a log and jumped right where I wanted it to go. Then right as I turned a round he shouted ‘’I told you so!’’ I think if you asked him if I had magic disc he would tell you I do.…

The density of the golf ball in the lab is higher than the average density of a golf ball. This means that the golf ball was made for long shots in the golf course. The neutral buoyancy was successfully achieved when the molarity of the solution was 3.33M. Therefore, if the water hazards in golf ball courses had a higher molarity than 3.33M, then golf balls would float to the surface.…

These two sports are not exactly alike though; there are also some big differences between baseball and softball. One big difference between baseball and softball is that baseball is played by men. While women usually only play softball. In some rare cases there are some women that play baseball because they feel that softball is not enough of a challenge for them. In baseball the size, weight, and color are different from that of a softball. In baseball, men use a white ball with red laces stitched all the way around. A baseball is nine inches in circumference. The weight of a baseball differs from a softball. The baseball weighs about one-hundred and forty nine grams, while a softball usually weighs one-hundred and seventy eight grams, and is highlighter yellow with red laces. The circumference of a softball is twelve or eleven inches depending on how old you are, or what league you play in. But you also must remember that a softball is much bigger than a baseball, so the weight is spread out a lot more, making a baseball a lot denser than a softball is.…

The baseball bat was broken when it was bought by the plaintiff. The plaintiff should return the baseball bat and have his money refunded to him. When the plaintiff bought the baseball bat from the defendant the baseball bat was already broken because as soon as the defendant used the bat to play baseball, the bat shattered into a million pieces. Shattering into a million pieces certainly violates the implied warranty of merchantability under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC 2-314). No Industria De Calcados Martini Ltda. v. Maxwell Shoe Co., 36 Mass. App. Ct. 268 (Mass. App. Ct. 1994) INDUSTRIA DE CALCADOS MARTINI LTDA. v. MAXWELL SHOE CO., INC. No. 92-P-1322 APPEALS COURT OF MASSACHUSETTS 36 Mass. Also, there’s a case what case ? that expounded upon this issue and told us that a baseball bat can’t crack when it’s for its intended purpose. Otherwise, the store has to refund the to the plaintiff. Dudzik v. Klein's All Sports, 158 Misc. 2d 72 (N.Y. J. Ct. 1993) Laurence Dudzik et al., Plaintiffs, v. Klein's All Sports, Defendant.
