I consider myself well trained and very experienced in certain fields. During interviews I have been asked about my "soft skills". It is usually worded with questions such as, what are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? One of my prominent soft skills is communication. This has been a great strength for me but has also brought challenges. I am a very outspoken person and I am always the first one to speak up. Peers and supervisors do not always appreciate this though. Being the first one to speak up does not allow time to collect and organize thoughts and what you are trying to communicate can come across harsh. Good communication is when you able to explain things calmly without a lot of emotion so it is easy for others to understand.
