Social Work Narrative

An eviction notice was later received after 2 months since my father’s death. The social worker referred us to Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) for cash assistance and food stamps. If it wasn’t for that transition, we would transmit into real depths of food insecurity and homelessness. Then, she was on her next move in helping us find affordable housing that fits the cash assistance budget. In less than a week, she found a two-bedroom apartment that she was very assured my mother could afford. Our social worker helped filled out social welfare and housing applications periodically. My mother needed her guidance support and counsel with school transfer papers, as well free/or reduced lunch and bussing opportunities.
