Social Media In The Workplace Is Counter-Productive
The use of social media in the workplace is counter-productive, this will be argued throughout this essay using the following three reasons; firstly, using social media during works hours can be largely distracting. Secondly, the workplace faces the risk of there employees posting defamatory post about the said workplace. And finally, if all employees are using social media during their working hours, there is the risk of negative social behaviour between the staff such as bullying.

If employees are allowed to use social media during work hours it means, instead of using their time to be productive and complete their required task for the day, they are likely to be using the time either talking to their friends, posting and watching 'funny' videos.

Finally there is the very serious risk of workplace bullying. If every employee is using social media at work it give people the chance to bully other team mates to start rumours, tease and degrade the fellow employees. This is very serious and can have serious consequences as it has been seen in the past.

In conclusion, the use of social media in the workplace is counter-productive for the three main reasons listed above which are that it can be distracting and therefore the desired amount of work will not be completed, it can put a knegative image upon the workplace and finally it can cause the risk of bullying in the
