INTRODUCTION Today Social Media is used in everyday life especially of those who works in offices and to us students. Social Media is the massive network that connects computer networks of businesses, organizations, government agencies, and schools around the world, quickly, seemly, and inexpensively. Social Media like internet may be useful for businessmen especially to the students conducting a research. Furthermore, internet is needed when the sources of books in the library are few. Not all the time, researchers get lot of information in the library. Platforms like Myspace, Facebook, and Linkedin have created online communities where people can share as much or as little personal information as they desire with other members. The result is an enormous amount of information that can be easily shared, searched, promoted, disputed, and created. Moreover, using social media brings importance to the people especially to the students. For them, using social media is a great help when seeking for information, communication and entertainment. Still, social media has a great impact to the academic field. When students deal with the social media, they are not interested to review the topics anymore that lead to misunderstanding of information. Instead of studying, most students are very busy when it comes to features of social media that maybe lead to addiction. In this sense, studying the effect of the Internet on students' work in this phase is particularly interesting.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
1. What is Social Media.
2. What is/are commonly used social media by the students.
3. What is/are the effects of social media to students.
4. What is/are the advantages and disadvantages do social media to students.
5. What are the implication of Social media in learning English.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROBLEM
• To be able to know what is social media.
• To be able to know the social media's commonly used by the students.
