Social Media Analysis: The Walking Dead

I often spend my free-time browsing the endless rows and columns of TV shows on Netflix. If I am not with friends, doing homework, going to tennis, texting, snapchatting, or doing anything else that is important, I take time off for myself, reaping the benefit of spending time alone. In the pro-social world, people are greatly influenced in favor of hanging out with people, interacting with them through social media and other means. People are always going somewhere and doing something. However, I manage my time so that I can have time for myself to gear down, rejuvenate and get ready to tackle the world head on. During one of these times, I have found one of the best TV shows that I have ever watched− The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead, set in a post-apocalyptic world, features sheriff deputy, Rick Grimes, the protagonist, waking up in a coma. Confused about what happened and his bullet wound, he sets out on foot and discovers a world full of zombies. He begins his trek back home and finds the horrors that he is about to live in. The plotline is so suspenseful that my heart races throughout the whole episode. Although I am intrigued about the zombies, this show is not all about it; it is all about the characters. This show has great characters that are rich with emotions. The writing that is involved takes some credit for this. Because of this, the show is unpredictable, which is engaging to viewers like me. The show comes from source material with an incredible fan base. The producers play it fast and loose with the source material and is proven to be a great choice for the show. The biggest reason why fans, like myself, love this show is because it does not have an endgame. There is no cure or every character is dead at the end, it’s all about the journey and survival.
