Snowboarding Research Paper
In the winter of sixth grade me and my family had gone on a ski trip at MT. Hood. So far everything was going great I was finally getting the hang of snowboarding because it was my first year. Snowboarding was a little scary but I was very scared of the ski lift I don't really know why but i was very scared to get off of it. Later that day i did not know that my fear of ski lifts was about to get a way lot worse. I was riding on the ski lift when all of the sudden I noticed my hair was stuck. The lift was almost finished by the time I had noticed which gave me no time to get it unstuck from the chair. The ride had come to a stop when the people operating the ride noticed I could not get off. But by the time they had noticed it was too late

On a sunny Saturday morning when I was 5 years old, my sister and I were playing a game where we would push ourselves off of our bed like it was a slide. It was about 10:00 and it was time for our free period when we were allowed to go down the slides, the diving boards, or just swim on our own. Three of my buddies said they were going to go off the high dive, I was too shy to speak up about being afraid. I knew it was too little too late now I had to face my fears and just jump. We got in line, and it was as if I was in a trans just staring at everyone climb up the ladder and without hesitation jump and plunge into the icy water. Before I knew it I was on deck and I could feel stomach churning a little bit, as if on cue I heard the splash of Sam and knew it was my turn. I grabbed the metal bars and slowly made my way to the top, I felt like I was a mile off the…

Snowboarding is an extreme winter sport with a considerable chance of injuries ranging from innocent little slips to high impact crashes. Beginning snowboarders are the ones who normally get injured even though they attempt less dangerous maneuvers than advanced snowboarders. This is because they haven't learned how to maintain a Stable Stance on the Snowboard yet and are thus more likely to lose balance and fall. In fact, nearly 25% of injuries occur during a snowboarder's first experience and almost one-half occur during the first season of snowboarding.…

When I first started learning how to ride a motorcycle I was very scared. After a while, I started to get the hang of it, but before I could become good, I crashed it into a barbed wire fence. I can still remember that day perfectly. It was a sunny summer weekend right before school started. My brother and I were taking turns riding it. My dad was mowing the lawn and my mom was at work. When it was my turn to ride it, I was doing okay until the second lap. The end of the second lap is where everything went bad. I was in the grass on the side of a hill. I remember getting closer and closer to the fence. I slowed the motorcycle down and put it in neutral, but I was still getting closer to the fence. I should have used the brakes, but at that…
