Snow Persuasive Speech
Snow is white and falls from the sky. Snow feels cold to the touch and melts when it gets warm. Snow is fun to play in.

Let me explain why I enjoy snow. The fluffy white snow dances like little angels, gently falling from the winter sky as it generously caressing the earth with delicacy and grace. Its touch is bitter cold yet enchanting against the smooth crisp air. The only fears it displays is from the warm, distant sun as it reaches forth with threating rays to melt its soft beauty. It blankets the ground and glistens with the light from above as it provides a joyous atmosphere for children of all ages to partake in the fun with snowballs, snowman, igloos, and sledding. I hope that you will enjoy snow now just as much as me.

A calm wintry night looks like mother nature making a white, cold, fluffy, blanket with every exhale of snowflake-filled breath. It looks more peaceful, more connected, more insulated when snow makes canopies out of trees, rolling hills out of rows of cars, sledding trails out of deck stairs, sugar dipped cones out of pine trees, and marshmallow tops on everything. The world looks clean and bright on a calm wintry night.…

If this is your first child, chances are you are going to run to them every time they fall down. Every tear is cause for a band aid, even if there is no visible cut. The truth is, they are going to fall. They are going to get cuts and bruises, and they are going to cry. You are not doing them any favors by rushing to their aid for every little thing. It's understandable. You just want your child safe and happy, but just because they fall does not mean that you have to rush over to give them a ton of cuddles.…

The icy air whistles around my ears, causing my skin to tingle and sting. My fingers and toes are going numb while I’m walking through the deep, thick snow. Snug inside my many layers of clothes, nothing can spoil the overwhelming feeling of being taken back to my childhood winter days. The urge to make a snowball is all consuming and I have to restrain myself from lying down in the middle of the street to make a snow angel. Every step I take leaves a fresh, crisp footprint in the snow, as if I am the only person to have ever been here. Snowflakes fall gently from the sky, tickling the end of my nose and tempting me to stick out my tongue and have a taste. (Synaesthesia)…

I rush downstairs as fast as a five year old with snow pants a pink puffy jacket could. I put on my warmest socks that I packed and sit down on the couch so my mom can put on my snow boots. It’s 2007 and my parents decide to take us to our grandparents house in Vermont for our school vacation. We’re getting ready to go sledding on the Mount Snow golf course. After we all have our winter clothes on, we head outside. We all gather up the best sleds and start our journey to the hill.…

Starting from a place I remembered as a teen, moving from a place that was warm to a place that had all four seasons; such as winter, spring, summer and fall. The First place that I grew up was surrounded by mountains. During the winter it was full of white snow, something that I was never used to seeing coming from California where all one would see was sandy beaches and the waves clasping one another. As I remember being so new to Park City, UT all I could see was the wonderful views of trees, mountains and people skiing or snowboarding. I have to say this was a fond memory because for the firs time I was actually able to experience the feeling of what winter was…

Attention Getter: I would like to start my presentation off by telling you all to ask yourselves a series of fairly straight forward questions. I want you to take a look at you’re, any hand and ask your selves “Who’s hand is this?” Do the same with your other hand, and now both legs and your arms if you would like. If I am not mistaking the answer to all your questions are mine right. They are your hands, legs, and arms. What I am trying to get through to you all today is that your body is your body and that a person should be able to profit of his or her own body if done in a safe and controlled way.…

It is not often that Portland sees snow, but when we do the whole city pauses. Schools are closed, roads are treated and somebody, somebody always gets into an accident. Sometimes the snow melts just as quickly as it falls and other times it leaves you wondering if there will ever be an end in sight. On a scale of zero to ten in snow preparedness, Portland is probably at a two or three. Still, everyone loves a snow day and and its promise of a break. Do not be disillusioned though, as one's love for snow can just as quickly turn into dismay.…
