Mobile phones nowadays have been taking over our society so much, that we can’t even live without it. Even children have a smart phone today, is it right at this age to have one? What will be the consequences on a kid that started so young using this gadget?
There are lots of advantages and disadvantages of using mobile phones. Firstly, the main usage of phones is to call or to text someone, but with the upgrade of technology, phones have changed completely their main point of using it. Lots of people use their phones to play games, to take pictures or to listen to music and it’s not a negative thing, but the excess of utilizing them can be very addictive. Also, the microwave waves and RF waves can be very harmful to people.
Furthermore, children who use too much phone without parental guidance could be cause of spending too much money and wasting time, instead of studying and doing homework. Parents should be aware of their kids and to whom are they talking too.
Personally I think it’s not right that children from 8 to 12 years old to have a mobile phone, because they don’t need to. They are always with their parents, so they shouldn’t handle stuff like that. What’s more is that parents should give their children a limit to use phones, so they don’t get addicted and distracted at school.
To sum up, not only children will get addicted of using too much mobile phones, but also people of every age. We should limit ourselves and use our phones only for real reason, so we don’t become dumb.
