Smart Goals
Goal #1: To develop a better and more qualified understanding of the child and youth work field.

Specific: By accomplishing this goal I will have the professional knowledge and slight experience of what is needed and expected of me in the child and youth work field.
Measurable:
I will know that I have achieved this goal when I am able to comprehend the knowledge that I have learnt and demonstrate it in the field.
Achievable:
This goal is achievable with effort and commitment to learning something new every day, with the help of mentors and other child and youth counsellors this goal can be more than attainable.
Relevant:
This goal is significant enough to me because I am passionate about this field of work. Gaining the knowledge I hope to at placement will help me to attain this goal.
Timely:
This goal will be achieved when I am able to put forth my professional understanding of the child and youth work field.

Goal #2: To develop a more skilled understanding of aggressive behaviour.

Specific:
By accomplishing this goal I will have an enhanced understanding and reaction to aggressive behaviour. Having a better understanding of this behaviour will be beneficial when working with kids and these behaviours in the field.
Measurable:
I will know that I have reached this goal when I able to understand why a child is behaving in the manor they are and have the knowledge of what to do in the situation.
Achievable:
This goal is achievable with effort and the help of CYW’S and their various counselling techniques used to help a child go from aggressive to calm behaviour.
Relevant:
This goal is significant to me because not having a good understanding of aggressive behaviour may lead me to deal with this behaviour is the wrong manor.
Timely:
I will know that I have attained this goal when I am able to react and respond to aggressive behaviour with an appropriate CYW method.

Goal #3: To ensure any thoughts on possibly taking this path
