ABSTRACT
An assessment of accounting practices on the performance of partnership businesses within Kisii municipality. Chapter one covers the development process of the accounting practices, the side effects felt by these firms, states the real problem to give the researcher and other users of the proposal a clear view of the main problem to the assessed, objectives to be achieved at the end of the research, formulated questions will help in finding solutions to the problem easily, gives us the importance attached to the assessment to be carried out, assumptions will be used to provide the starting ground over which the set questions can be solved, limitations that sets out the hindrances that would make the research difficult to undertake, delimitations will provide possible steps or ways on how to minimize the limitations and give the practical meaning to terms and definitions used. Literature review highlights the key areas of the research that much attention will be put, these will include the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting practices, mode of acquiring and applying of these practices, reporting framework of the accounting practices and the firm’s organizational structure.
