PRODUCE A PROFILE OF AN SBE

Angel Mining plc –

Angel Mining is a company determined to grow, expand and manage its operations effectively. This business plan will provide information and step-by-step procedures to achieve those goals. This year for Angel Mining was undeniably better than 2011. Some of the improvements are –

Raising Funds that enabled a significant decline in net debts
Production and retrieval of gold from Nalunaq
Smooth operations at Black Angel
Business Overview

Angel Mining deals in gold, zinc, lead and silver the company have contracts in Greenland and Nalunaq where they are producing gold and then sending them to their refineries, there are some recommendations that can prove to be beneficial for the organisation. One recommendation for the firm would be to launch their retail outlet as they can supply their own products for a cheaper rate and sell on the highest asking.
Financial Overview

Presently, the organisation owes more than a $100,000 and is looking to raise more funds in order to repay on the next repayment date February 2013. This is because the trading profit only covers the operation costs at the mines and leaves less to be invested again in the business. In order to improve the company needs to achieve its objectives (New Minerals and Retail Outlet) by December 2014 or early 2015, which will help generate more revenue.

For this project the company needs to raise about $200,000 essentially with partner that has experience in other minerals/rocks and retail outlets for exceptional customer service and store settings. A joint venture is preferable with a 50-50 deal where the venture receives access to cheaper raw materials and high profits. In addition, at the finale of the project most venture sell their shares and look for other investments – Angel Mining can reduce their debts and plant their other source of income where they can generate profits every minute.

    The O-Fold Strategy

    • 1100 Words
    • 5 Pages

Alex should pursue a crawl-walk-run strategy as it serves a purpose of testing the market for the potential of succeeding. In addition, Alex can incorporate the other three strategies as well to help specifically with maintaining the going concern of his business. Having little experience of being in the business world due to in-progress education, this will help him plan the strategy needed to attract angel investors when approaching the walk phase of the strategy. Having the analytical mindset to formulate a cost-benefit analysis of his company, he will use this as a foundation for beginning the operations of the company. During the beginning, Alex should figure out how he plans on distributing his product whether it would be online or start with the local community. At the walk stage, Alex would be looking at the company today and analyze what’s going on with the business and begin approaching angel investors about investing in a very unique product that looks promising with the past trends of growth in sales. More than likely, Alex will be staying at the walk phase until his business is thriving and able to sustain a competitive advantage and be financially solvent due to past year’s profits. When this is accomplished, Alex can make an executive decision to implement one of the other strategies and give him more time to think of an exit strategy that would be in the best interest of him and his investors. However, the first goal for Alex is building enough capital to purchase a patent to avoid competitors from duplicating his sole product. Angel investors would be more inclined to invest in Alex’s company when there is a patent for the O-Fold and five-year business plan that demonstrates the profitability and goals he has for his company.…

Denver-Based New Earth Mining, one of the largest US precious metal producers, was enjoying rapid growth in earnings with the continued improvement of its operating margins. New Earth Mining had accumulated a large amount of cash on its balance sheet. It had a simple debt structure and a reasonable leverage ratio with no significant risk of liquidity. With its strong financial condition and the desire to diversify its business though new capital investments rather than acquisition, it felt that was necessary to implement a diversification program. A new investment opportunity appeared in early 2012. New Earth Mining was informed of the existence of a major body of iron ore close to the massive Kalahari manganese field in the Northern Cape of South Africa by an independent exploration consulting company. New Earth felt an investment in iron ore provided a strategic fit for its diversification objective. The price of iron appreciated more than five-fold from 2002 to 2012. Unlike the price of gold, for which there was considerable speculation, the price of iron was not expected to fall dramatically given the strong global demand for the commodity. Due to the demand exceeding supply of iron until at least 2016, New Earth decided to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of developing the Kalahari. New Earth would form a new subsidiary, New Earth South Africa (NESA), to undertake the mining operation. It had tentatively negotiated a financing package with the potential customer and a syndicate of US Banks for its South African venture. Of the $200 million needed to complete the project, $100 million was tentatively negotiated with the overseas buyers. There are three portion of debtholder which are a group of U.S. Banks agreed to provide a syndicated bank loan to NESA worth $60 million in senior secured debt at 10% interest rate, a large Japanese Bank and Export –Import Bank of South Korea agreed to jointly provide $40 million senior unsecured debt at…

If Bauba fully comprehends the needs and concerns of the communities regarding Bauba’s operations, Bauba will be more effective when responding to these. It is very important for a community to feel a sense of belonging, and it’s also important for them to feel like they are being looked after, as the community can be seen as a multi-stakeholder. Bauba is more likely to become more engaged in the community when the development of the Group’s chrome asset begins. Bauba will need to focus on the quality of life of the community. It is better to reinforce local institutions and processes, rather than to replace them. The new Chrome-ore project will cause employment and indirect jobs to increase due to local procurement. Local investments also diversify the…
