According to Google, the definition of racism is the belief of all members possesses characteristics or abilities specific to that race. This definition gives a negative view to racism and slavery, and it should. The lingering effects of slavery and racism still haunt people today and will continue to do so for years to come. It all started when the first white people settled on America and they needed extra work for their farms.
